SM, agree with Serloco, FG, JJ. The path is only untenable in the context of the compulsive clinging of the ego...the compulsive sense of self to the extent that we become frozen and hardened into a dried husk. Maybe seems hard to break the crust enough to wiggle the toes...move the fingers....look around a little bit....drink a sip of water, FFS! : D Then, once the joy that's inherent in the path begins to become apparent...then the "It's so hard!" perspective starts to give way to "This rocks!". It takes a bit of trust, initially, until one finds the proof in the pudding, so to speak.
DJ/CC's lineage was sealed....but not in the way you're describing. It was sealed only from the perspective of it being something exclusive. It's been opened up.....released. i.e. jump in! If you want to. The one's who are "chosen"...are simply the ones who do it...and persist in doing it, IMHO.
