I have referred to three mentors in my life (s most recent). I used term mirror, because the word teacher has baggage. Whatever, these three 'teachers' NEVER assumed formal standing (shaman, master, teacher, etc.). They were friends. Sharing/learning their knowlwdge had spontaneity derived from 'real' moments, situations, experiences.
My focus here is to show what I did with the incoming knowledge with a clarifying context. First, what I generally did not do > I did not put the exchanges into a file that was about a remote future. The important moment in learning was THAT absorbing moment. It may have pertained to a future goal, but the primary impact concerned the believing, the knowing, the CAN DO-- was a recognition, an investment and self-incorporation that happened as it happened (spiritual intonation here).
So, if you happen to like some of my (anyone's) ideas, I recommend developing the aforementioned context for experiencing them.
