Sharing Ideas

For others: I googled to this thread to remind myself of basics.  FLYERS > my remark that Castaneda & FLYERS was simpleton is complimentary.  It is difficult for an **** like me to detach from something if I don't  make it an easy to understand OBJECT.  I am drawn to share with beginners, because I am one.  DETACHMENT DETACHMENT 101 OKAY

I met a person who had awareness when I NONE.  He observed that I was not always present-- in fact that I was NEVER present---My mind was full of binding neurosis, garbage in the mind.  OKAY?

He lets me know it does not have to be that way.  That no matter what you do, or how much you have, there is no QUALITY of life if you are not really there taking care of yourself.   OKAY?

He convinced me that this made me a REAL **** (in a constructive way)  I was no one.  (little did I know--I was to learn I will always be no one--smiling and true-- but now I am having fun.)

You have a resentment , a problem, a depression whatever.  What is a mother to do?   (Most people ignore looking--- and of course they remain miserable until they die--- most people I know suffer a whole lot)

So this emotion, this resentment--I finally SEE I have it and don't need it--- AND just by that realization I am momentarily not miserable.  NOW A HEAVY one comes upon me.  What is this weight?  ENVY!

I observe all the descriptions of what another person having my same envy does.  OH HE DOES WHAT I AM doing-- not breathing easy--I'm tight--hurt--telling myself I don't deserve this--it should be all different.

This making ENVY into an observable object is detachment.  It is up to you if you want to carry the object with you.  You decide if you want to keep being miserable.  Some people really don't care if they're this way.

If you don't like suffering--you do detachment when weighty misery hangs around--SEE that detachment helps.   If you pay attention-- you SEE it can make life fun.  You have energy stored to temper future ****.

You realize later that when not expecting it, emotions test you.  You learn to pause one second to remember detachment-this alone provides enough space to let the emotion play out while still having some control.

With experience, later ---the emotion cannot move forward with weight.  One day you'll look at the script of resentment in your mind and actually chuckle--because it tickles you. This is how it starts-- it is fun.
