The Warriors path is a practical path because it takes loads of practice : )
I thought it would be a good Topic to discuss the ways we put the techniques in to practice in our daily lives!
Just to start the ball rolling I will start by explaining how the technique of shifting the focus and listening helps me at work. Is it just me who can be very defensive at times? for me I can be especially in the work place. I started a new job not too long ago and I can already see how when someone kindly points out a mistake I have made I begin to try and defend my mistake and make some kind of excuse for why I made a mistake. The truth is in another few months I will probably be very good at my job but until then I will have to grin and bare making mistakes and being corrected.
In this situation I am always reacting to people rather so listening to others at work is a way for me to over come my defensiveness. My default setting or social conditioning is set to reactive defensiveness and my Technique is to listen to others in order to appreciate the value of what they are saying instead of closing them down by trying to defend myself.
This is one of the techniques I use in my daily life which has been very useful.
