By the way, it occurs to me that a map of the unknown would have to be 20/20 hindsight.
We are talking about the unknown here.
Something beyond that person's experience could not be described in an understandable way.
It is only after the person has had the experience that he would be capable to look again at that description and recognise it as a description of that experience.
Before the experience the description is nothing more than symbols and words pointing into the unknown.
But by learning to trust the map by past experiences, that person loses all doubt that the map is pointing to Something.
