I finally found this. Had to go back to the original forum, can't find my own. Luckily, I remembered the general time when it happened.
This has to be read from bottom, where the first message is, to top. It fed in to a discussion about Dr. Hawking, physics and his views on science and religion.

Hi Janet
Hopefully, you have made a
genuine encounter. I know of people who have wandered Mexico for years to find
what you have found. I read that such encounters come, not by searching, but by
'a knock of the spirit'. You could have been turned away!
This American shamanism
claims a history of 10,000 years, back beyond the Olmecs, which flies in the
face of traditional anthropology!
Without mind and spirit, I
think even conventional medicine is useless.
I read that the life of
dreams is a 'second self' of a second reality.
I guess that this dream
body may be related to what are called ghostly events.
There is no proof to any
of this , of course; only individual experience, and acceptance.
Southern Mexico, from what
I hear, is more 'cohesive' than the north.
