The new seers strive to achieve total freedom.
Total freedom means having accumulated so much power and invoking such intent that the individual can simply leave this world, taking his entire body with him. Unlike when ordinary men die, warriors' bodies travel to the third attention with every single cell entirely conscious, with the totality of themselves.
To visualize this from a tonalistic perspective; I like to think of Don Juan's metaphor that he uses in one of the later books:
"Human awareness is like an immense haunted house. The awareness of everyday life is like being sealed in one room of that immense house for life. We enter the room through a magical opening: birth. And we exit through another such magical opening: death.
Sorcerers, however, are capable of finding still another opening and can leave that sealed room while still alive. A superb attainment. But their astounding accomplishment is that when they escape from that sealed room they choose freedom. They choose to leave that immense, haunted house entirely instead of getting lost in other parts of it."
Concluding from what Don Juan says in the same book (The Power of Silence, I think), when warriors dart past the Eagle to be free they simply turn into inorganic beings of immense power. They won't be immortal though, for their extremely enhanced consciousness will last as long as the Earth does, because the Earth is their core.
BUT, however, none of this matters if you have not defeated the foreign installation. It is disheartening and outright discouraging to see so many "seers" in these forums comment about love and light and how they know everything. You can tell they are still being halted by the flyer. Beating the flyer is at the core of humanity's problem. It is the biggest factor of ALL of our problems. Every myth, every religion, every expression of art retains in its deepest form the unconditional desire to break free. But we don't know what to break free from, since of course the flyer is directing our lives. We are lucky to have stumbled upon the teachings of Don Juan, for know we know as a matter of fact the existence of the warrior. But as Don Juan says himself, it doesn't matter if the biggest truth of the universe is whispered to you, if you don't have enough personal power you can't do **** about it.
So this is where the important part of sorcery comes in. The new seers, much learned from their experiences with the Spanish conquistadors, adapted much of the knowledge of the old seers but changed it fundamentally.
I cannot carve a map out for you of how these techniques work, because they are techniques of power, and power cannot be rationalized. Remember, the FIRST thing to be done is to beat the flyer. And this takes all the energy you can summon. The fight is here, now, in this chest, as you're reading this poem. There's is no more adventure that is more worthwhile in your entire life.
Let's revise the basic things we know about sorcery in order to accomplish that.
You must lose your self-importance:
---Memento Mori - Remembering you are mortal and that nothing matters is essential for killing the ego.
---Erasing personal history and dreaming accelerate it.
---Not doing, the act of confusing the flyer by going against your inventory is very important too.
---Talking to plants is a good exercise.
---Using petty tyrants helps as well.
---Reaching the place of no-pity is an instantaneous blow.
You must accrue inner silence to stop the world:
---To accrue inner silence you must learn to shut off your internal dialogue at will.
You must gather energy:
---Recapitulation gathers tremendous amounts of energy and also frees up space for more.
---Doing the magical passes gathers energy.
---Stopping the energy leaks is essential.
-------Celibacy stops energy leaking from orgasm.
-------Eating just for energy and for alleviating hunger stops energy leaking from food anxiety.
-------Taking care of your body helps to plug energy leaks.
You must dream.
You must stalk yourself.
The end goal of gathering energy is to shift the AP. Once you do that, you can explore other worlds of perception, which will in turn boost your energy and shake the flyer. But it's important to remember that in order to explore the haunted house of perception without fucking up you have to have enough sobriety. Sobriety is acquired by remembering constantly of your death and using it as an adviser.
I think most real sorcerers in this world (like La Catalina) and the Old Seers were obsessed with traveling the haunted house of perception and gathering power. They were not able however to overcome the flyer. Which is why shifting the AP by itself means nothing. If you wanna do that just take tons of drugs everyday and there you go. Warriors are strategic, everything they do is calculated.
The most important part of sorcery, or as Don Juan calls it; the crux of sorcery is to attain inner silence. For that you must stay long enough without the internal dialogue. Inner silence has to be built up. You just have to keep adding inner silence to your stock as much as you can, and then eventually BOOM, you stop the world. That is the moment when perception stops form being deviated by the flyer and is experienced directly by your essence. As Don Juan puts it.
Eventually, once a sorcerer starts having enough inner silence, he is thrown a choice by the spirit. He can either continue his in-between life of being a sorcerer or continue on the path of knowledge and become a warrior. If he accepts, he will never be the same again. Warriors are everything sorcerers are but more. For example; they have to be a bastion of impeccability. It is not an option, it's simply freedom. Impeccability accumulates power. Warriors also have to stalk extensively and develop their double fully.
There are many MANY other techniques and knowledge explained in the works of CC.
There is for example seeing, gazing, fixing the island of the tonal, controlled folly, the rings of power, humbleness, responsibility, taking everything as a challenge, intenting, fixing the spirit and so many other things.
Lastly, it is crucial to understand this:
"You have everything needed for the extravagant journey that is your life. What counts for a warrior is being alive. I have tried to teach you that the real experience is to be a man, and that what counts is being alive; life is the little detour that we are taking now. Life in itself is sufficient, self-explanatory and complete. A warrior understands this and lives accordingly; therefore, one may say without being presumptuous that the experience of experiences is being alive."
And:
"Persist in acting like a warrior. The rest comes of itself and by itself. The rest is knowledge and power. Men of knowledge have both. And yet none of them could tell how they got to have them, except that they had kept on acting like warriors and at a given moment everything changed."
