a few words to maybe inspire as they inspire me when i read them....
i found this as particularly apt for me and my life....
IN THIS UNIVERSE NOTHING IS FOR NOTHING; ALLKNOWLEDGE MUST BE EARNED AT GREAT COST.
THE COST OF TRUE KNOWLEDGE IS ONE'S LIFE. THEKNOWLEDGE YOU SEEK CAN ONLY BE ACQUIRED BYDEDICATING YOUR LIFE TO IT.
YOU CANNOT WALK THE PATH OF KNOWLEDGE WITHOUTLIVING THAT KNOWLEDGE; THEREFORE YOUR COMMITMENTMUST BE ABSOLUTE.
WALKING THE PATH OF KNOWLEDGE DOES NOT COMENATURALLY TO MAN; THEREFORE ALL LEARNING IS FORCED

Most people would like to have knowledge, but would
prefer it if they could simply purchase it from somewhere rather
than having to work for it. This is one of the reasons why today
there are so many schools offering enlightenment and why it is
not too difficult to find those gurus who will, for a price,
shoulder your responsibility to learn. But as has already been
pointed out, true knowledge is knowledge of the self, and such
knowledge cannot be given to us by anyone, nor can it be
bought for any money in the world.
The only thing the true spiritual teacher can give his
students is the necessary guidance to enable them to tap their
own hidden resources. To do this, the spiritual teacher must
force his students into learning who and what they truly are, for
without this knowledge there can be no tapping of one's
potential. However, to face ourselves, to take stock of who we
are, and to acknowledge even our shortcomings, is never
pleasant and is most of the time very frightening.
In view of this, it is not surprising that a lot of people seek
out only those teachers who make them feel good and who
promise to do the work for them. The true spiritual teacher is
never comfortable to be with, for he invariably challenges us to
look at aspects of ourselves which we spend our lives trying to
hide from everybody, including ourselves. Such a teacher does
not care what his students may think of him, or whether they like
him or not, because his only concern is to see that they get that
knowledge which they are seeking, and for which they came to
him. Obviously teachers such as these are few and difficult to
find, simply because it is the rare man indeed who will put his
reputation at stake, and who is prepared to love his students
more than his desire for recognition.

life experience and my link with 'spirit' was my only teacher for many years, as i walked this path alone, with no one to discuss it with. I dont feel life gets acknowledged enough as a teacher, but i feel that gets redressed when recapitulation is committed to...
CONSIDER EVERY PATH CAREFULLY, TESTING IT IN
WHICHEVER WAY YOU FEEL NECESSARY - THEN ASK
YOURSELF, BUT ONLY YOURSELF, ONE QUESTION: 'DOES
THIS PATH HAVE A HEART?'
ANY PATH IS MUCH THE SAME AS ANY OTHER PATH. SOME
PATHS WIND THIS WAY AND THAT - SOME PATHS GO
STRAIGHT; BUT IN THE END NO PATH GOES ANYWHERE AT
ALL. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ONE PATH AND
ANOTHER IS THAT SOME HAVE A HEART AND SOME DO NOT.
THE PATH THAT HAS A HEART WILL UPLIFT YOU, EASE
YOUR BURDEN AND BRING YOU JOY.
THE PATH WITH NO HEART WILL MAKE YOU STUMBLE, IT WILL BREAK YOUR
SPIRIT, AND FINALLY CAUSE YOU TO LOOK UPON YOUR LIFE
