I think we are speaking of the same thing...the continium of consciousness. Where we differ is that you are using terms from books and philosophies rather from experiences...and I am trying to tie it to actual experiences.
They have been asking some interesting questions about the nature of consciousness because people keep their continium of consciousness even through brain inactivity. In other words people record memories when their brain is shut down. This sounds very much like your mindstream reference.
The warning you are saying is about getting tied any one place...do you mean like endless reincarnations into the human form?
