This work is dedicated to the two men who gave me the impetus and the tools to do anthropological fieldwork: Professor Clement Meighan and Professor Harold Garfinkel.
Following their suggestion, I plunged into a field situation from which I never emerged.
If I failed to fulfill the spirit of their teachings, so be it.
