That doesn't matter much. I don't consider either Buddha or don Juan inscrutable authorities, although I like their perspective for the most part...it tends to resonate. This is a good example. Warfare is an interpretation, nothing more nothing less...and thus it is useful in as much as it is useful from ones personal perspective. My perspective is different. In fact, I personally see where the whole "warfare" motif can create some big time problems...where it can perpetuate a perceptual interpretation which may outlive its usefulness. i.e. we perpetually create a motif of warfare in order to feel motivated...i.e. we're only motivated when we are actively fighting against something.
