FYI: Passing by the inorganic realm is part of the nagual discipline that aims for the development of the double. Obsession with that place, relying heavily in the boost of the inorganic realm, etc it's nothing more than a extremely dangerous indulgence.
I would say that the greatest test of the modern warrior is leaving all his/her allies and sources of energetic boosts aside for a while. If his/her power wanes, it means that the sorcerer is less than impeccable and should review all his/her conducts.
Boosts are useful and necessary in many stages of the path, but depending on them means that something(s) is(are) left undone in terms of impeccability.
