So great to have you back Glance! I am glad you returned to this thread here to give it some TLC. Ha when I looked up at TV just now, saw this elephant figurine furnishing in this documentary called Worlds Greenest Houses. it's about energy efficiency and advancements in technology used in houses that support nature. Each episode goes into a house to show all the Eco features. Anyway, in this episode it says "are we not going to talk about the elephant in the room?" Because it's in the background of the camera scene. They go over to it and the house owner explains it's name is Gordo and was designed by a local sculptor. The host asks if they sit on it like a chair. Owner says no, but the children are allowed to pet it before bed which they do every night.
The elephant in the room here is silence - always present rarely discussed. And entering silence before sleep is one particular practice. Which brings up a point: some times during the day are better for silence. In the midst of emotional turmoil brought about by day to day circumstances, and during meditation ofc, and great vid you posted on that, ...and before bed. Just to name a few. So remembering to enter silence in the more crucial times alone can do wonders, even if one is not doing it all day. Gotta start somewhere, so some planning out of the "when to practice" times is useful. Over time and through practice one's intent becomes stronger, in the beginning a 'game plan' is needed to get there.
