I'm usually not very pushy, you're right.
I have a different approach. You as well as a few others here have a preference to lead the battles at the front. I enjoy the view from the rear. Every person in a battle serves a purpose. The rear allows you to fill in the gaps, you're given the opportunity to assess progress and adjust to what's needed.
That and it's an energy investment at the front. The energy is divided amongst the many. I prefer to devote it into the few. Quality over quantity.
