Please keep in mind folks, the eagle is a metaphor.
Let me explain.
- - - - HOW THE EAGLE SEES YOU - - - -
The real eagle (with feathers) sees you (pitiful human) as food that's just too large to catch.
- - - - HOW YOU SEE THE EAGLE - - - -
Well, that's closer to what HDo11 just talked about.
*You* see the eagle as a metaphor for a model that *you* have invented to explain an experience that has happened to *you* in such a way that *you* retained memories of it.
Thus it can be talked about. If there is no memory of your experience, then you can't talk about it after it has happened. Right? So memory is critical in the process of growth into a mature human being. Any damages to memory result in damages to maturity. Let the reader see.
Don Juan was not a mature human being, I'm afraid. He was powerful over bimbo californians, no doubt, but what good has he actually done for our dying planet? A whole lot less than Jesus Christ who was killed by his own family for revealing truth about his vision of the future "kingdom" of God, which in modern language has been identified as the "Gift Economy". Check it out. It's what bees and plants do, and what Sidhartha found while sitting for hours and hours with a tree.
