Hi Artwarrior.
You are on solid ground. Kudos for that. I'll suggest you further, since you are open to it:
1. Add to your microcosmic orbit mantras (aka kriya yoga). It's more powerful in that way. Any mantra that resonates with you will do: For instance: Om
Namah Shivaya.
Om Namah up the spine... Shivaya down the front... followed by meditation. More detailed info in Ennio Nimis's book. Learn about it here: http://sorcery.yuku.com/topic/1565
2. Yoga Nidra is Dream Yoga or Yoga by means of Sleep. I wrote a post about it here, with a free guided (basic) yoga nidra session: http://sorcery.yuku.com/topic/1627
3. I read somewhere that you had sporadic connections with Ramana Maharshi, am I right? Suggestion? Love him... intend loving him. Love will bring you closer
to him.
4. Recapitulation is very valid and necessary... but unpleasant. To understand it better you could read Dianetics, by Hubbard (founder of Scientology). A
more... pleasant approach are the Soul Star Techniques: http://www.soul1.org
5. As a final note I recommend a method of basic meditation that I see extremely effective to fix the issue of inner dialogue, by Aurobindo: http://sorcery.yuku.com/topic/1632
There are no satisfactory explanations really... only ways to know. I'm sure that you will do fine, if you intend it.
Thanks for the post GS,
I appreciate your help. I have had sporadic connections with Ramana Marharshi, and I agree with you about love being a connecting link with him. What really
got me though was the Soul Star Techniques, which I have never heard of, but somehow, fumbling around in the dark, I have recently developed a guided
meditation/visualization for myself which is so close to being Soul Star practice that it floored me. I thought I was just skimping on practicing inner
silence, listening to my inner dialog, etc., and now, after discovering this practice, it leaves me feeling a little strange, I had no idea, no inkling, that I
was being guided to this practice. This makes me wonder why I did not feel more sure I was on the right track, or at least have some sort of feeling that I was
being guided, I really just thought I was making it up and not really doing the practices I was supposed to be doing.
So, I am going to check out the rest of the info. you gave me. Thanks again,
