There is this website a friend shared with me long ago. I revisited it today. Its very interesting. Its a great place to go if you had a stressful day at work or otherwise. What it has, among other things I'm sure, but I only know thus far it has these stress reducing games. You can play them without downloading anything, you play the demo. First you go to PLAY ONLINE (to the upper left of screen), then it wants your first name, year of birth only and email. Be sure to unclick the box if you don't want their newsletter automatically sent to you. Then after you enter that, it gives you a brief intro and then you can play.
I recommend the smiling faces game. To try it even if you don't think you have stress. Because it will elevate your mood anyway. Its what Normal Vincent Peale called "the power of positive thinking". The idea of the game is to click on smiling faces, and its something you try to do fast. So you are focusing your mind on the positive as instant reaction. If you had a bad day at work, perhaps you met with a alot of frowning faces, lol, hence the bad day. Or just getting bad feedback in general, over the phone or otherwise. So this game de-emphsizes anything 'negative'. I played it and found myself smiling during it.
Its a blue lunar monkey day. Monkey is the inner child, lunar is the polarity and bringing into harmony any imbalances. The day focuses on how in childhood perhaps our sensitivity was not honored, and thus there are blocked areas were we feel its not safe to express or just 'be happy'. In truth we can build these up within ourselves. It takes mental focus to shift how we perceive. At any rate, monkey indicates play and honoring the inner child. These games are a great way just to uplift the mood, they are just games but sometimes in play and fun the most serious achievements occur.
