Hello everyone!
Thought I would post a short introduction...
I've been into Castaneda's books for a long time.
The first time I read some they were interesting and entertaining stories.
The second time I started to consider that some of these experiences might have actually happened to Carlos.
The third time I was initiated - there was no doubt in my mind that these teachings were practical.
Since then I've verified many of them for myself independently.
I've studied and practiced all kinds of philosophies and religions.
I guess I wanted to be able to talk to anyone about spirit using whatever language they were familiar with.
But Castaneda has always been one of my mainstays - there is so much genius in these works.
IMO, it is very enlightening to comprehend Castaneda through other sources.
Kabbalah was such a source for me, but I really began to understand a lot after encountering nonduality.
Nonduality taught me so much about seeing and the second attention - really put things into perspective/context.
J. Krishnamurti was very helpful in understanding this as well.
So I had lots of "experiences" of Oneness, silence and visions of "enlightenment" and connectedness to everything in the Universe.
I still have these today. If I could describe myself with one word, it would be "fluid".
It's really incredible to me how much I actually live these teachings.
Hardly a day goes by where I'm not remembering some Castaneda quote that's pertinent to my present experience.
So, besides what I already mentioned, I'm very familiar with Gurdjieff/Ouspensky, quantum physics and alchemy...
Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Huna... mythology, Hebrew and Greek gematria, Tao... stuff like that.
I write quite a bit on AlchemyForums but find myself frequently quoting Castaneda, so I thought I'd see who else is out there
practicing stalking, dreaming and the art of awareness... and I found this place. I'd really like to meet some other "serious"
practitioners - not necessarily to the letter of the law, but to the heart of it. People who are dogmatic about CC's
teachings probably don't understand Intent and a warrior's ability to improvise.
We are the New Seers. We are the Authors of this movement.
I wonder what we can do together.
In studying so many religions and philosophies, I find that most of them have this notion of returning to the source or going 'home'.
It's like we came "down" here and now we need to go back "up" to where we came from with wisdom. I get that.
But Castaneda's warrior party is different in that it keeps going forward!
What I mean is - I've seen how small "things" dream larger "things"... quarks get together and dream a proton... protons and neutrons
dream together to form atomic nuclei, who dream together with electrons to make all kinds of atoms and the periodic table...
atoms dream together to make molecules, and DNA... DNA dreams as plants, bacteria, all kinds of animals and finally becomes
capable of self-reflection in humans. Humans can realise they are made of DNA, atoms, etc. Anyway, seers of the Rule saw that we
can keep dreaming bigger by having humans dream together to make a sorcerer's party which is a unit - just as multiple organs
work together to make your body. I'm very curious about what we can do in this forward direction, as well as "returning".
For me, Infinity excludes nothing, and I like to do the same. The tricky part is that excluding nothing includes excluding something.
That is the art of stalking dreaming and dreaming stalking, which I practice whole-heartedly.

Welcome Archaos!   It appears you have a lot to share.  I particularly like the fact that you mention physics/science and the way you try to connect different paths together.  I feel that is key to understanding CC....

I find that the notion of going home is in CC's terminology the notion of coming to the totality of oneself. This is what home is, it is our totality. we are not home when we are not who we are . Only by coming back to ourselves, how we were before we got fragmented, do we realize what home is. We have forgotten who we are. Many of us dont even know what it is we are good at, what is our talent, where is our place or what is that unique something that only we can bring into the mix that is inside this big bowl of stuff .



coming home/coming to the totality of oneself then is the starting point of a wondrous journey . This is what i like about CC, because it is another beginning point and not an end.

Watergaze - I wonder if we see the same... in return we kind of light up emanations that already exist -
we remember who we are. In going forward, there is the possibility of adding a new feather to the Eagle's back.
Do you know what I mean?

We do not have to see the same , but I dont quite see you saying anything in your reply that would show me you think differently, maybe you can clarify. Surely not by saying that we light up emanations that already exist..



It is the case that I find some hope in linking the notion of "going home" to coming to the totality of oneself. And this is a functional link for me. And as far as it is helpful (and before I see something more that will get me to adjust this) there is some meaning in me looking at it that way. That is why I shared it, kind of like food for thought that you dont have to agree with. I like to change perception gear sometimes too .

I think we see similarly as far as going home. I just wondered about the other direction.

We are always moving that direction in slow time, like natural evolution, going forward.

It seems sorcerers are one of the few who realise this option, although I have seen something

similar inorganically - much like Robert Monroe's OBE friends who were waiting for him to

join them to go further - like they were a unit/family.



No, we don't have to see the same. I just do that almost habitually - I want to be as sure as I

can that I am hearing you as objectively as possible. I can talk to myself anytime.

I also associate going home with the totality of oneself.

I guess that makes adding a feather to the Eagle's back expanding our totality.

I'm not sure how else to say it except that it has something to do with true creating as opposed

to re-combining things that already exist in new ways.
