Nice article and with many insights I do applaud. I will not move this but would have liked it to have been a new separate post. If you would like copy and
paste it Lex please feel free. The Rule has always been my study as well. As one who has seen and crossed the wall, I barely was able to return intact with the
knowledge there is another world for us.


The Rule was and is in three parts. The first part I agree with and the nagual's party rule (2) I see as a ritual structure. The last part where the
party's have to fulfill certain tasks is something that would be nice for more to come but not commandment from the eagle in my humble opinion. The world
where they went is a special place between worlds and still connected to the earth and our dimension thus the gates (cosmic vaginas,,such humor). There are
many ways in and one takes their organic body with them for that place can sustain it and has no rolling force to break it down.




I love it when warriors bring the rule up for it is core to nagual purists. A most welcomed post.

I recently joined and I'm pleased that I have found this site.


Couple of years ago, my opinion on world changed from purely scientific


to more spiritual. This change came by itsefl, it wasn't inspired by some book or anything.


Then I started to read books where I hoped to find more. (about what I couldn't say at that time)


Almost instantly I came over Castaneda's books.


Now I want to go further and learn as much as I can.


Some things begin to make sense for me.




I want to try this path.

I've posted on this site in the past (same name, just a new avatar now) and I've been away rereading Castaneda's books and trying to get caught up
with concepts and practice. Anyway, it's great to know that this community and resource is here. Thanks to Lone Wolf and the rest of you for keeping it

Rereading the books always brings to me new formations of the knowledge. We are fortunate that this path has came out into the public as far as the books. Now
we need to access it and remember that Carlos still dreams.

Hey Captain! Welcome. I love re-reading the books, I have read them all several times each, and each time I get a deeper and deeper meaning, it is almost as if
in re-reading them you are absorbing the core teachings, it truly is a wonderous journey. I am currently working on a visual interpretation of some of the
concepts of this series of books, and I hope to put it in book form - like a visual guide to Castaneda, for all of us out there who are visual learners.

Hi Lone Wolf. Nice forum.


I'm 23 years old and I have a history of practicing one form of paganism or another for over 10 years but for about the past 5 years I have done absolutely
nothing (except writing down my dreams, interpreting dreams, noting strange occurrences in my life, etc.) I'd like to get back into practicing and heard
about this "Nagual" on a radio show I listen to called Coast to Coast AM and ended up here. (well, the caller called it "shamanic warrior"
but I looked it up and came upon this term myself.)




I'm a complete newbie to this, so any recommendations on where to start my studies (book, internet-wise) would be much appreciated!

Welcome to the site. Don't think for a minute that the 5 years you consider "doing nothing" was a waste, often times things are happening on an
energetic level, somehow we know this (silent Knowlege) and we feel we are "taking a break", "being lazy", whatever, but really, we are
growing, learning, expanding on a level that just doesn't translate to this waking life, but....when we re-enter a path, we do so with renewed strength,
and an level of understanding that we just did not have before. At this stage, when you encounter a path or lesson that interests you, and suddenly you are
surrounded with lots of synchronicities, goose bumps, shivers of the spine, well this is how your energy body or higher self nudges you and says, yes, yes, go
there, study that, do that!, ect.. Follow those signs along, it is always an interesting ride!

Hello all, I just wanted to stress that I am glad I was brought here which I believe was for a reason, I found a great starting point for learning more about
the history (sort of) on shamanism: http://www.sacred-texts.com/sha/index.htm - sacred texts is where I
realized there are many religions and other stuff and I realize me and main stream religion do not mix which has really opened me up in many ways to many
beliefs and experiences, I think the major religions separate people, I am choosing to drift and let things fall where they may.

It has become evident to me that once I reach the place you speak of, which for me includes Animisim, or Deep Ecology, There is no other word for it but
Paganism, or neo-Paganism if you like.




Don Juan went even further, telling Carlos, after he expeienced the Form of Man, that there is no god at all. I have my own take on that one, and I'll wait
a while to see what others say about it.
