Hey.The sorcery site is an excellent place for study , also by association an easier place to withhold energy- a balancing thing. In the interests of knowledge i would like to have access, easier access to my own posts.reasons of recapitulation.
if you grant me temporary admin status will it make this task easier.i simply mean to down load all my words and go through them.
although i appreciate it is well within the petty tyrants protocol to prevent users from accessing their own information on a sitei would like this site to be markedly different.
please could you decide in this moment wether you would like to facilitate my request for better access to my own writings SINCE 2003.
also before YUKU this group was on another forum, sorcorex or somethingcould you also help me find the records of that site?

Hi rosy,
I would help you with changing your rights to download your posts if I could. Sadly, even granting admin rights would not do anything in this regard. There are options on the web how to archive threads (some year or two ago I archived our sorcery site in case something happens, I downloaded a program to do it. It was a big pain in the ass ). All that I know that can be done is go over your posts manually and copy paste.

If you figure a good/better way to do this, please let us know. I am sure more of us could profit from it.
edit: I somehow forgot to respond to the other request you have about finding threads from a previous sit. I do not know the name of the place where our site was. It is before my time here. Bu if you remember the name, you can try to find things through websites that archive the www, such as the wayback machine.

Rosy, you can do a search in Sorcery to pull up all your posts. Search by your username.

(edit by wg: the other part of the post was addressed to me, was off-topic here, and is quoted and answered in a different thread)

youre reading too much into what rosy said. He is not mentioning what you mention. Stop using others as your mouthpiece . Moreover, you are switching topics and talking about something you already brought up. Why address me in this thread? Your one line to rosy makes only partial sense (was he asking how to find his posts? - but at least it can be helpful in case he does not know how) and the rest does not belong here. Your post will be edited and those parts deleted together with this response to you (which will be pasted to where you originally talk about this - after I get to where it is and whatnot):

authors have access to their content. They can see it and copy it and use it elsewhere.

It is different in the private parts of the site. In the private forums, one knows that if one leaves they wont have access any more. It is common sense. One needs to decide if one wants to post in such a space or not. It is a decision. Similar could be said about the public part. It is said clearly that some sections do not have edit and delete. If one wants that one needs to either post in the sections that do, or go somewhere else where it suits them better.

Just a couple of days ago I saw a sequence of deletions of posts happen.. in New Seers. It is our choice that we do not allow this in all parts of the site. We have had enough of it and the way things are now have a good reason.

It is too bad this bothers you. But most people who post dont mind. You can post in sections like New Seers and The Tonal.
Personally, I find that warriors need to be impeccable with their words. Not editing helps you achieve this setting. When you talk you cant edit what you said either .

Everywhere a person goes tracks of them remain. There is no way around that. A person's memory, notes, photos... in this world you walk down a street and youre taken by a gazillion cameras. Do you tell them you should have control of your content? . Here, people at least have the option to stay silent or to talk. It is their choice if they leave something for others to read or not.

This discussion is offtopic here. The thread is closed so that it does not go on. Please stop asking about this, we have the place the way it is for reasons that are known to us. We made an aware choice.
