Time for a new name?

This February 2011 will mark 10 years this site has been on the web. Its previous names have been:The Sorcery Exchange
Sorex
Nagual
Separate Reality
and Shamanic Warrior.


Any suggestions? Keep the name? Comments?

I like THUNDER MOUNTAIN too (in fact probably my favorite) but does not initially convey warriorism but in another way it does very much. I like how it combines form and energy.

Often I wanted to name this place Sorcery because that is what it is as fair as a description but then I believe this name would put off mainstream newcomers. Thunder Mountain is the indians nickname of a mountain that I live next to..

Yeah I really like Thunder Mountain as a name a lot. The only problem is again new comers would not identify its a warrior/sorcery site perhaps?



I'm with you on just using the name Sorcery, its become a beautiful word for me, and I do remember a time it did turn me off. But now that I understand it I love it. Somehow to get a word in there to compliment it maybe and show its selfless sorcery. Sorcery to draw towards Spirit.

Yes, I like the idea of changing the name especially since its 10 years anniversary and also recent shifts of members etc seem to give symbolism to new start.



Nagual Road has an earthy spiritual feel.

Seriously...I asked myself what new name would reflect the members here? The answer was...THE NEW SEERS as that is what you are in my opinion. The second name I thought of was SORCERY as that is what mainly the content of this forum is all about. Comments?

I like both



Its hard to choose. THE NEW SEERS feels like something exciting and new, acknowledgment of a new breed of warrior.



But I think SORCERY just has such a direct allure and its what is our link to freedom, our ability to practice Sorcery and cause dimensional shifts of attention. If we name it SORCERY, some people will say its a dark art or whatever. But on the other hand, SORCERY is like many other words, there is a positive meaning and a negative meaning, so we should not let the negative meaning stop our using it since we mean it as a positive.



So I guess I like SORCERY best, but NEW SEERS is good too, as is NAGUAL ROAD.

Shangri-la : Any place of complete bliss and delight and peace



Shangri-la is a nice word/place we can all visit from time to time. I've always liked it, not as a forum name, but to think such a place exists as a resting place for us. I have me a shangri-la...I'd like just to stay there but alas I have to come here to tonal for growth and development too.



Is the Chinese Shangri-la like the Shangri-la?..well, it does have a bit of magic there, amid the tonal. I suppose every place does.

Sorcery is what it is, i would think a vibration that will resonate with those that are sensitive is more important than a catchy name.



Anyone that thinks sorcery means somnething completely different will be in for a shock, and the time is right to get the awareness notched up a level.
