I must admit that the straight forward sci-fi plot of Guardians of the Galaxy was rather boring to me. Just another movie created to emotionally masturbate an audience of mostly knuckle-headed idiots. No great lessons that mankind needs to learn are included, at least none I could remember from between naps.
HOWEVER
A kid gets abducted by aliens, at the beginning of the movie, and he has a Walkman type cassette player with him and a cassette tape full of fantastic Baby Boomer oldies songs. The very concept that millions of light years away aliens are enjoying Earth Baby Boomer music of the 1960s and 70s is irresistible to a Baby Boomer like me.

If I had known that the green woman, in the movie, was the same woman who played the lead female role in the movie Avatar I would most certainly have liked this movie better

I just discovered the new Sims 4 game
and I'm suddenly remembering what I've been told
as to why there are so many horrible things going on in the world
IT HAS TO DO WITH BOREDOM
Supposedly, sweet and nice all the time eventually leads to boredom
When dealing with eternity it eventually makes you LITERALLY INSANE!!!
You eventually become insanely desperate for something different to do
That's why our memories are erased as we enter these lives
WE DON'T WANT TO REMEMBER!!!
THAT'S WHY WE CHOSE TO LIVE THESE LIVES!!!
WE WANTED TO TEMPORARILY FORGET THE BOREDOM
THAT COMES WITH HAVING THINGS SWEET AND NICE ALL THE TIME!!!
We are eternal beings and these bodies we have are like clothing
We wear them for a while then they eventually wear out
and we leave to go do something else
How we treat these lives determines how we will be treated after we die
If, after reviewing our lives, we truly feel
that we do not deserve to be rewarded then

My strategy didn't work. I was still just banned from the Sims forum. It's for the best. I want to be able to talk about whatever I feel like talking about and not just Sims. Personally, working with video editing has forced me to get a new computer. It cost me $1,600.00 with a 4 year extended warranty. It's still in the box awaiting my preparations to set it up.

The main reason I rushed to buy this more powerful computer was that it still had the Windows 7 operating system on it. I felt that if I didn't get it I would be stuck with having to deal with the headaches of using Windows 8. I've read too many horror stories about that program and have no desire to be another Windows 8 victim.
If you follow the above link you will see that I BOUGHT THE LAST COMPUTER. Yes, I was the only who bought the very last computer and when I went to the website of the company I couldn't find it so I strongly doubt Amazon will be getting any new ones.
It's a relief to post here, again, where I can be myself. I feel I can relax here without having to be bound by all kinds of restrictive rules

Essentially, long-term low-level mercury poisoning MAKES PEOPLE CRAZY among other things. Different people show different symptoms. Not everyone exhibits the same symptoms.
