This is my created Django Reinhardt Father's Day gift to the world.I took quite a bit of time and effort to get it right.

I believe it is as "right" as it should be

I have a guitar chord encyclopedia, but I don't want to have to go looking through it!
I ended up having to use my new rubber stamp chord chart grill in order to chart the SOUNDED OUT chords from the beginning part of Django's Souvenirs. This is why I prefer an instructional video.
You can see exactly which chords are used to get the Django effect!

a blank chord stamp!!!

What a friggin great idea!!!!

Just what I need for these specialized
Gypsy Jazz chords

Only $7.49 for us super-cool Amazon Prime members!

I tried to be so very careful and I tested this stamp out on a separate piece of paper before using it in the book. I NEVER CONCEIVED that the actual stamp would not be perfectly centered!!!

When the first chord grill was off-center I thought it was due to my carelessness.
I made absolutely certain that I was RIGHT ON up and down centered when I created the second chord grill

AND I WAS STILL OFF-CENTER!!!

After the third off-center chord grill I FINALLY realized it was the stamp, NOT ME!!!!

Oh well.... More reason to remember the chords and not need to look at the sheet music, right?

FINALLY the Miracleman trade paperbacks are back in print!!!!
I first read Book 2: The Red King Syndrome on loan from the public library and was amazingly impressed by the story.
There were, supposedly, all sorts of legal complications that kept this series out of print.
FINALLY Marvel comics bought the rights to the series and have the whole series printed in three volumes

I've never read book 1 or book 3. I just ordered them all and intend to read them from beginning to end
doing my very best to forget what I already know about the series. It's was quite impressive.
This much I do remember, unlike other comic superheroes, Miracleman had no qualms about killing the wicked!!
Oh, he killed them alright and, from what I remember, it was quite graphic.

To hell with throwing the wicked into prison

((( KILL THEM, GODDAMMIT!!! )))

Just when you were relatively certain what you would find when you came here
SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING...

IT'S JESSE VEN BUPKIS!!!!

A SCENE I'D LIKE TO SEE:

'Look! It's Jesse Ven Bupkis!!! Mr Bupkis. You must be well aware that you have practically become a household name.'

BUPKIS: Yes, that has been done by design. You see, I'm running for the office of president of the US'

REPORTER: Oh, so you have had your name circulated as a pre-campaign, US predental strategy?
How wise of you to be on everyone's minds as they enter the poll booths this coming presidential election. Do you have a catchy campaign slogan?

BUPKIS: Indeed I do, "VOTE BUPKIS FOR (((REAL))) CHANGE, FOR A CHANGE'

REPORTER: America is tired of all this political 'goat ****' in Washington. Congratulations...er...Mr President. You have my vote.

BUPKISS: I'm not like those OTHER changes that don't change much of anything. A vote for Bupkis is a vote for value!

REPORTER: Genius, Pure genius!!

(((NOTE))):  "Hello, all you menchs and mohels. Time for your Yiddish word of the day: Bupkis.

Bupkis; noun, slang, meaning: nothing, nada, zip, zilch, squat, worthless

Example: "Go ahead and sue me. Know what you'll get? Bupkis!"

Bupkis comes to us from the Slavic languages by way of Yiddish and literally means "beans", but not in an appetizing way.
The beans referred to are actually small pellets of animal [goat] droppings, which is perhaps appropriate given the common usage of the word
and its generally negative connotation. Gradually the literal meaning has left it and bupkis has evolved into slang meaning "nothing".

TO PROFESSOR EHRMAN  6.27.2015,

What is desperately needed is for scholars FROM ALL THE MAJOR RELIGIONS to get together and show the world that every single "holy book" is NOT infallible and inerrant. The books must ALL be equalized in that they should not be blindly trusted to be literal accounts of ANYTHING!! All evidence of tampering must be openly shown to the masses from ALL MAJOR FAITHS!

Of course, the Muslims scholar will most probably be assassinated after such an open meeting, but there must be one respected Muslim scholar who would be willing to give his life to help mankind see the truth. He will die as a martyr for the greater good.

Debating whether or not Jesus existed is a luxury. Creating a highly publicized meeting of the greatest religious scholars on the face of the Earth is AN ABSOLUTE NECESSITY if you are to snap people out of this insane blind belief that their 'holy books' are infallible and inerrant.

THINK OF IT!!! That brave Muslim scholar could pull the plug that fuels Islamic terrorists groups like ISIS and Boko Haram. If this meeting is translated into many different languages it just may stop the violence of these crazy fundamentalists who blindly believe their 'holy books' are infallible and inerrant. It would be like a global cease fire while people FINALLY question the insane notion that their 'holy books' are infallible and inerrant and literal accounts of anything.

IT IS THIS INSANE NOTION that has fueled all the religious insanity throughout human history. Do you really think there would have been a Spanish Inquisition if the Spanish were uncertain whether or not all the stories in the Bible were literal or allegorical and whether or not their 'holy books' have been tampered with? I DON'T THINK SO!!!

This just may be what all your scholarly studies have been leading to, professor Ehrman. Sooner or later THIS MUST BE DONE to snap religious humanity out of their collective madness. Wouldn't YOU want to lead the way rather than follow afterwards?

Think about it. YOU either lead the way or follow afterwards. Do you want to go down in history as the man who lead the way to snapping people out of their collective religious madness, or would you rather leave that glory to someone else? It's got to happen sooner or later. I suggest you take the reins and LEAD THE WAY!!!!

The more I think of what Pope Francis has done the more amazed I become.
Out of nowhere, Pope Francis has dealt the seemingly unstoppable Monsanto monster a blow from which it may never recover.
I never saw it coming. Never in a million-years would I have expected the Pope to speak out against GMO crops
and the powerful pesticides Monsanto creates that are poisoning the world. It has come as quite a shock to me alright.
With 1.2 billion Catholics now made aware of the dangers of GMO crops and the pesticides of the Monsanto monster of death company
I foresee big, wonderful changes in the future that have been a long time coming!

THANK YOU POPE FRANCIS!!!

Playing Reggae music, on bass, is a great way to REALLY get the soul of playing the bass. It'seresting to note that modern Reggae music owes its popularity to the advancement of stereophonic technology.
It is the the only popular modern music where the bass is absolutely the foreground instrument.
In hip-hop music it is the bass DRUM that takes the foreground, not the bass guitar.

Back in the 1960s when stereo equipment was in its infancy bass response was not very important because you couldn't really hear it.

I remember the first stereo we got. You couldn't really hear the bass at all.
Now, even the smallest of equipment has rather decent bass response.

I don't have any videos of me performing. Now that I'm retired from professional performing
I only play when I want to and...well...I simply don't want to that often.

Everything has been working fine with my new acoustic bass guitar.
However, it wasn't very exciting and that's why I have not mentioned it.

A few hours ago I changed the strings to these new ones I bought with the guitar

((( BUDDA BING, BUDDA BANG BAZOOM!!!! )))

What a friggin difference!!!

Suddenly I feel as though I have a guitar that is twice as expensive!

Guess those Ibanez stock strings were really cheap

THESE ARE AWESOME!!!
The chords sound nice!
To be perfectly honest. The only possible way I can see playing along, with this bass, acoustically, with an acoustic guitar, is to use a VERY HEAVY PICK.I bought this bass just in case the power goes out and doesn't come back on, In such a situation this will be the ONLY bass guitar that will be of any use.

Although, if all the power goes out and doesn't come back on I hardly think I'll have time to play any guitars.
It will be a fight for survival in the streets, not a time to sit back and play music.

I'm considering getting this miniature version
of the classic Paul McCartney Hofner bass quitar.

I've been considering others, but I see no point in getting one of these
of a guitar I already have. If I do get one, I should get one of a guitar
I DON'T already have, right?

It's a limited edition, sold out in other places, only 2 left at Amazon....what the heck. I'll probably eventually kick myself in the head for buying it...but I bought it.
