I'm not quite sure what the hell happened
I mean, I saw an advertisement for this 60 Watt amp at Musician's Friend for $89.00 (with free shipping) and, after reading the reviews. well... I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT!!! I don't need another amp...at least not now, but...well... It's on sale today for $110.00 off the original price...I bought it! http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifie ... src=3XBACR Amazon didn't have this particular amp, but they have a similar Behringer 30 Watt AMP for $145.00 I'm getting more wattage, free shipping, and it has a 12" speaker for LESS MONEY http://smile.amazon.com/Behringer-GTX30 ... +Amplifier UPDATE: For some strange reason I am inspired to call this: MY HENDRIX AMP

I'm getting ready to start working on Angel

To hell with tuning my guitar to Eb just to play Hendrix
NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!!! UPDATE: VERY COOL!!! I took the video into Soundforge Pro 10 and raised the pitch of the video by 1 step thus putting the key of the whole video in E instead of Eb I wasn't sure it would work as I have NEVER DONE something like this with Soundforge Pro 10 BUT IT WORKED!!!!! I saved it as a widows media video file as they tend to play on ALL PLAYERS

SPANISH CASTLE MAGIC
is also on my list of songs to learn: http://successwithintent.blogspot.com/2 ... magic.html
07-12-2015, 12:19 AM
I also used Soundforge Pro 10 to raise the key 1 step
I absolutely REFUSE to re-tune my guitar just to play Hendrix NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!

I believe I now understand why Jimi Hendrix had a tendency to tune his guitar one step down.
It was because many of his most significant effect songs were in the key of E and he would use the low E note as a drone note not unlike the way drone notes are used in Indian music. If he kept his guitar in standard tuning it would be too easy for other guitarists to copy his style. By tuning his guitar one-step lower and playing a right-handed guitar left-handed he created an air of impossibility that contributed to him doing the miraculous on guitar When I think of it, Jimi Hendrix was the King of the 1970's Rock Gods! He played guitar in a way that was so unique you almost felt Jimi was from some other planet; as though he wasn't fully human I'm working on Voodoo Child Slight return in the key of E instead of Eb. I'm also playing it WITHOUT my Vox Wah Wah pedal. Mine is, like, over 40 years old. I wonder if it even works. I don't intend to find out. Sorry, but I don't want to be messing with any pedals, thank you very much!

Once again used Soundforge Pro 10
to bring the key of the video up one step into E instead of Eb

If I didn't pay for this friggin pedal for my small, old Mashall amp,
whose reverb no longer works, I sure wouldn't buy it now. I should use it, right? I mean, I spent good money on it. I should AT LEAST find out if I can get Jimi Hendrix Wah Wah sounds from it, right? I mean, why create an effects pedal, like this one, if you can't get Jimi Hendrix Wah Wah sounds from it, right? ****

http://smile.amazon.com/Hendrix-Color-R ... 3M20495QW5 I using the Amazon online chat to make certain they are indeed selling the color version of this statue as the only photo Amazon is using is for the black & white one Amazon says it is indeed the color one. They don't have a color photo of it to put up It's a limited edition, sold out in other places, only 2 left at Amazon....what the heck. I'll probably eventually kick myself in the head for buying it...but I bought it. THE IDIOTS SENT ME THE BLACK & WHITE ONE, DAMN IT!!! I GO OUT OF MY WAY TO MAKE CERTAIN THEY DON'T DO THIS TO ME AND THEY DO IT ANYHOW!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! UPDATE: If the color version of this statue was sold out they should have told me so, damn it!!! One thing is for certain, I can't even find the color version on friggin Ebay!!! 2nd UPDATE: Well, it seems there are no more of the color versions of this statue available PERIOD! To quote a Jimi Hendrix song: "Clip, bang! What a hang!!"

How about a Jimi Hendrix floating rubber ducky?
DON'T BE PLAYIN YER ELECTRIC GUITAR IN DA BATHTUB!! DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jimi-Hendrix- ... 1800107829

I found it interesting to consider that there is NO OTHER GUITARIST
I would consider buying a statue of. I was amazed when I realized this fact. Jimi Hendrix is THE ONLY ONE!!
07-15-2015, 12:19 AM
It's also interesting how I mostly only want to play Jimi's slower more beautiful songs
Although there are some exceptions like Spanish Castle Magic and Voodoo Child slight return
07-15-2015, 12:19 AM
It's hard to describe. I don't want to copy Hendrix
I want to blend his style with my own I want to extract the sacredness from his sound and advance upon it I want to take the overall Hendrix sound, clean it up make it even more sacred and take it to untold heights of expression. If people would comment on the sound I create they would say something like, 'He can sound a lot like Jimi Hendrix only cleaner more wholesome and much more technically beautiful and satisfying'
07-15-2015, 12:19 AM
I want to master this solo and build upon it
07-15-2015, 12:19 AM
I've been forced to stop playing Jimi Hendrix on my guitar
as in my created style I usually slide up to notes rather than bend them. It takes the development of specialized callouses to bend notes like Jimi Hendrix. I ALMOST gave myself a blister!!!! That would mean a lot more time off of playing before it fully heals I must be patient and consistent in my determination to absorb the very best of Jimi Hendrix into my guitar playing

IT'S HERE!!!
I guess it's important for me to have a guitar amp with big wattage and power. This friggin thing is MUCH BIGGER than I anticipated and ((( MAN IS IT LOUD!!!!! ))) I have to keep it turned down very low for my needs. At this price I just could not pass it up!
07-17-2015, 12:20 AM
As a fluke I decided to look up my old Fender Pro Reverb Amp that I traded in for a Music Man amp and always regretted my decision.
https://reverb.com/item/110835-fender-p ... Auc18P8HAQ THE FRIGGIN THING IS GOING FOR OVER $2,000.00 It's the vintage year of my old one and I AM TRULY AMAZED!!! I got my new Behringer for 89 bucks and free shipping! That is even more amazing as, for my needs, the Behringer is worth much more to me I just stopped working on those Hendrix bends again because the callouses on my fingers need a break or I will get a blister fer sure!!! I'm working on Hendrix Voodoo Child exercises. Quite a workout, let me tell you!
