Yeah that sounds good. You describe your state very well. For me it is the freewill to choose and decide. That is the spark of life in my idea. It is something free that cannot be taken away by anyone or anything. My choice becomes the source of all my power. None may choose for me. What I invest power in is my ultimate choice. Choice expands to cover every aspect of your life and world/position. It is a great gift to babe able to leave one position for another. Escape is one of my favorite activities. I escape from even myself. My truth becomes a lie and I am born anew. Yesterday's die and yet the core of who I am remains unclothed, naked and fertile. Ready to begin again. Who I am now is something unknown to me. Time will tell.

Freewill. Inherent in the core...unclothed...naked....fertile, as you say. Always unknowable to the self, at that core. I mean, how can self importance survive in that light? It can't. It is the ultimate cure...the silver bullet for the derangement of self indulgence. And, once self importance is burned up in that light, choice of exploration opens up wide in every direction. Anything.....everything....it's all game for the experiencing because fear is gone and access to the energy of the source of awareness is perennially available.
Having these impressions, my mission is clear and simple. Dive deep and deeper still. Tie a stone around my foot and sink into silence....on and on and on....deeper and deeper. There's no end to that depth, I feel! Of course, i'm not a monk. I work and play...I have a wife and kids. This body needs to eat and breath and there's lots of awesome things to see while I'm roaming around in this form on this planet....but all the while, the intent to cultivate silence has become paramount....to deepen that silence in everything I see and do.
It's so worth it!

What is the silence? It was an ancient seer that was hunting power one day that defined the silence, imbued it with a powerful action and thus stopping the world with it. You could go as far and say the silence is empty aside from the form of power you place in it. It's like setting the world before you enter it. Since you invest power in the silence then your actions are is intending that result. You give to the shadow of silence and thus it moves to your will. Carving volition goes hand in hand with the placement of power. What do you define the silence to be and do for you? What is a shadow? What is the light? A good warrior will hunt power in these forms and make allies with them. Working together. Crafting the forms of volition in all things.
Infinity is a definitive journey.
I work closely with many allies and often have taken on their positions myself. I remember calling myself frictionless and being detached and indifferent to everything. The loss of my 'self' gained me freedom and speed. I was fluidly a b let to move to any definition I could fathom and with ease. Removing my.old volition left me quick and light. I kept a minimal amount of volition just so I could make choices but I almost didn't care either way for any outcome I could think of. Nothing mattered and everything was in equal reach. I almost couldn't decide either way what to do. I suggest being human to always give yourself the volition you need to accomplish your goal. Define yourself accordingly.
Glancy looks like on a road past self importance. Good luck too. Call yourself impeccable. It's interesting to watch how the mind works manifesting the intent to your goal. Like the man said power always finds a way.

16.
1. The (state of) vacancy should be brought to the utmost
degree, and that of stillness guarded with unwearying
vigour. All things alike go through their processes of
activity, and (then) we see them return (to their original
state). When things (in the vegetable world) have displayed
their luxuriant growth, we see each of them return to its
root. This returning to their root is what we call the state of
stillness; and that stillness may be called a reporting that
they have fulfilled their appointed end.
2. The report of that fulfilment is the regular, unchanging
rule. To know that unchanging rule is to be intelligent; not
to know it leads to wild movements and evil issues. The
knowledge of that unchanging rule produces a (grand)
capacity and forbearance, and that capacity and forbearance
lead to a community (of feeling with all things).
From this community of feeling comes a kingliness of
character; and he who is king-like goes on to be heaven-like.
In that likeness to heaven he possesses the Tao. Possessed of
the Tao, he endures long; and to the end of his bodily life, is
exempt from all danger of decay.
This is a quote from Tao te Ching that I was reminded of when i read this, it is a theme that reoccurs in the book, the mind being perfect in 'abysmal stillness', etc.
I have been acting from a place of love for everyone around me in my world, it counteracts my self-importance, i want to be friendly and caring. i read the first post here a few days ago, and i was walking home from a friends house, i was a bit scared to be walking home so late at night, and i was walking through the fields, and i saw a man approaching, i remembered about saying he is a teacher (from the first post) and it transformed the man into a wandering holy man, he didn't say anything to me as he walked past, yet i felt the power of setting volition, how people are mirrors for ourselves. i saw that we were both on a path of power, our brief exchange was wordless and actionless - we passed each other in silence, yet we acknowledged each other, and i was without fear.

Silence, for me, has to do the with layer I'm penetrating as I sink towards the heart of things. The letting go of the dialog to engage the world around me, first of form....then of something more subtle underneath the form. But mostly, right now, it has to do with stopping the dialog to get to that state of sustained awareness that doesn't categorize. Then, I guess later once that sustained awareness has gained coherence, it has to do with stopping the world....or dissolving the form of familiarity of things. And then, there's more or further. Silence implies a deepening from and toward a central position....toward the abstract core.
Thanks, Serloco....I did call myself impeccable...and believed it whole-heartedly. Silence uncovers the impeccability that's already there. And, thanks Transitions. I like how you shifted your perspective when you walked by that man. I think it takes silent awareness to make a deliberate shift like that...and know that it does indeed transform the world around us.
Good stuff....all encouragement to continue onward and inward. Tally ho!
