Oh my oh my this little gem has long been forgotten as I see it. I have never seen it spoken of in sorcery circles and yet it may be the greatest piece of knowldge available to us. I call it the rally. I will share a short story of the first time the rally came to life in my journey. I was in Hell and was sent there by my God to save lost souls and defeat Satan and his demons. I was no fighter back then. SUre I had fought iobs somewhat over control of my dreams and my will and my mind but had never fought such evil that wanted to crush me and kill me in horrendous ways. I had a small army of perfectly created life forms that fought valiently by my side. They died many times and I ressurrected them every time however I had grown tired of watching my loved ones die and be abused and so I sent them away into safety. Now, alone, I fought and began learning the art of fighting using sorcery. I had my hands full, day in and day out, and the fighting never stopped. Neither did the protecting of my people. Satan and stuck his worst demons inside of my awareness and they never left me. He and they used every truick they could muster to use against me and pollute everything they could. I grew weary one day and weak. I was done for and about to die. Satan and his minions laughed and enjoying mocking me as they toyed with me, stretching out the final moments of my life. I knew I was going to fdie and in that instant something stirred inside of me, something awoken and my restless eyes again grew sharp. In came the rally. I remembered don Juan telling me that at the moment of death a warrior rallies the totality of himself and brings to the foreground all the power he ever had. Every little piece of powerful knowledge I had ever had sprang to life. Every solid command I ever spoke was still fresh inside of me waiting to be again used. Indeed the totality of our power never dies and it serves us whenever we need it. The totality of our awareness somehow knows exactly what we need and it uses the totality of what we are and what we were to serve us as we need. Satan and his demons never expected what came next. I rose to my feet slowly with deadly serious gaze that meant business. I destroyed him in seconds and his demons lay fallen on the ground. The totality of my power moved me beyond anything I had every witnessed or expected. It possessed me and made me perfect. I became the destroyer.
The Rally is a piece of knowldge that should never be overlooked. As a warrior who inhabits the warrior knowldge you already have it within you. However all you need do is say that when you need it the totality of your awareness may be summoned automatically This, as said, brings up all the power you ever had avaiable to you and reactivates it on the spot. You will know what to do and how to do it and the rally will guide you.

I thought I would put here some things mentioned in chat yesterday .
First off, great post serloco. Thnx.
Although, as you say, the rally does not have to be limited to the threat of death... I pondered the fact and remembered the instances in my life when there was danger of death (whether my own or another's) or even when there was a case of being back into a corner in less threatening ways that actual death (but still linked to death in some sense because a part of us might have suffered/died, so the instinct to fight for it was activated). I realized a long time ago that during these experiences I often activate things that I did not use before in my usual life - because they were not needed (for me it is all about what is practical, so yea ). I utilize other strategies naturally but when backed into a corner I do not take as much care of the person or people who are doing it as I would in other circumstances. When it is my skin on the line - to be or not to be - I cross lines that I otherwise do not. Hence, especially for me, these experiences show me a power that I usually do not utilize (because it is not needed). Being a sorcerer/shaman is not all about having power, in my opinion. Sure, it can be handy. But it can also be the opposite (one only need to look at some of the examples of sorcerers around). One needs to be a clear conduit/vessel or power will warp. I go for 'I only want as much power as I need.' Balance
Hm, I strayed a little from what I wanted to say .
Once one sees what one is capable of during these times of... erm... distress, once one breaks the... hmm... barrier or the unknown of being able to do that, one is closer. It is like one breaks a seal on a bottle, one hears a pop sound and one is now able to drink. And it will make future drinking possible too. I find that we activate many things for the first time only when we are backed into a corner, or that it is more likely at least. It is due to the energy needed to break the seal. At that threatening moment we try stuff and believe in a lot more than we do otherwise. Plus certain societal restraints fall away too. We move to try last resort measures. We try even things that might not work .
In sorceric terms, having found (or stumbled upon ) the position of AP one can find it again easier. The threat of death gives one a push, the AP shifts at this point. One musters more energy (and courage if one is a warrior) than one usually walks around with on a normal day (or rather accesses it) and thnx to that the AP can shift to other-than-usual positions. Sometimes it needs a second time or a third time in an unusual situation for us to be able to make the shift in more normal states.
This is one of the reasons why shamans need to get near death sometimes. (There are other important even crucial reasons for shamans and death, but not all sorcerers need to be shamans).
It is also one of the reasons why sorcerers cannot get anywhere much if they are couch/internet warriors. One needs to be out in the world, living, experiencing, encountering barriers that one overcomes... and all that .
Another thing I want to point out that is specifically important to us here at our sorcery site is what serloco writes about how he remembered what DJ said. I have written this around this site a couple of times but I never tire of reminding people of it . I find it fascinating and super practical that some things that we read of other's experiences and such, can be so helpful to us when we are in a pinch. Suddenly the experience of reading someone's experience pops up at unexpected moments and opens up a way for us where there was none before and where there might not have been one. This is what we do for each other when we share our experiences and knowledge linked to it. Sharing an experience, like serloco does above, is much more valuable than if he just said: we can muster our totality to fight in moments of death and even before we get to the death point. This piece of a sentence would not materialize, would not attach to as much in our spirit if it is devoid of the colorful picture of the situation and experience from which it then stems and is born. I have managed to enter other people's experiences in dreaming and relive them and of course this goes beyond dreaming. Many of us experienced the synchronisieties when reading CC's books. Something unusual happens to one and then one reads about it in the book the next day. Or the other way: one reads something and a couple of hours later one has that experience. This is what I am talking about. This is one of the very important things that this site and other places, where you share with people on the path, offers to you. It is a miracle how it works and the benefits it can bring one. We can share with each other keys that unlock wondreous experiences. It is simply amazing . We can actually make a difference in each other's lives and our experiencing.
Lol and just now I remembered those movies I watched when I was a kid, the martial arts kind, where someone was beaten within an inch of their life almost and then in the last moment they rose up and kicked everyone's ass. I thought why dont they do it sooner. If they have the power and skill, why do they need to get beaten so bad before they use it? Well, I guess I just answered my question from that long ago. How wonderful . They just couldnt make the shift before being pushed to the edge.
Of course I'd say that it is better if we do not get within an inch of our lives before we intervene. One just needs to understand /see that that is what will happen unless one does something now - this activates the same thing. Knowledge is power. Reading the situation is powerful. And this is what I am learning . To forsee the situation before it comes to that . The skill to use less power sooner to have the same outcome than waiting too long and then having to blast something. I do not need great displays of power. And it is much more elegant to wiggle out of dangerous situations than facing them head on. I am remembering a passage in CC's books... where CC was asking DJ about what if someone attacked him on a path.. or some such it was. And DJ said he would not be on that path in the first place. Forsee things or just listen to Spirit when it matters. No need to battle head on the killers waiting for you ahead... just take a different road.
Is one less powerful just because one does not show their brute strength in a battle? I'd say the more powerful or rather smarter sorcerer does not even get to the battle.. has no need for silly battles at all.
The push needed to pop the seal will, as one learns, not need the extremes any more.

The rally is key, I agree. I've had that force rise up many times just when I thought I was "done for". It's good to hear about again here...and know its a force perennially available to us warriors. Key is to relax and create space for that rallying force to rise up, like an massive wave, when needed

When our backs are against the wall we are left with no choice but to act, our death forces us to, and thus we act in a clear and precise moment, out of no pity. this is why extraordinary acts are often met when we are faced with our deaths.

Agreed

And, with this in mind, death truly is our ally/advisor. Keeping awareness of my inevitable death close at hand and in my awareness gives perennial access to the self investing, self inciting, self igniting energy of The Rally.
So be it......intent!
