Last year and the year before two ravens came and stayed for awhile. They would chase the mice and drink the horse's water.
It is enjoying to watch them from my kitchen window. Theu sit together on the stall rails. They seem very at ease with their world we share. When I go outside my dogs sprint ahead of me and the ravens will fly off for now. Hopefully I will get closer and see if they have names.

Alas...
I live in the desert in a wilderness area called Tonto Forest. This desert forest is part of the great sonoron desert of central Arizona and home to the Superstition Mountains. Twice a week in the warmer tempatures I will run a four mile square near my homestead early in the morning before it becomes to hot. I do it to clear my head and to get some exercise. This morning while running near a dirt road I found one of the ravens dead along the ditch. It had been there awhile and it was difficult to tell what had happened to it. So black it was. A vulture was circling overhead so I continued my run. Here in the desert there is a cycle of death. Rabbitt, snake, coyote, vulture, all are part of it in the Wolflands. Lone Wolf

I too would love to be there in the mountains where you are at and the thought occurred to me that there are many spots that share similar features of power and it is up to us to recognize them.
The thought that came to me is would most people recognize a place of power unless they were told that it was? What would someone look for to recognize such a spot and this all comes to what we consider a place of power considering if we did not know what to look for because the question is what we consider as power. In other words if you were not told anything about such a spot and you had a strong interest on perception, what are the elements that we should really focus on or what to look for because this should be of most concern for everyone and not taken lightly for someone that has chosen such a path. Its my guess that this is another factor that the predatory forces have disassociated us with and we have to reestablish it to our objective.

Power spots are places that have a connection with different energies of this world and others. A spot might be a rock. A cave or overhang. Under a nagual tree. A path made by power animals. Buriel sites. Where a eagle feather lands. By the river near the bank. We make them too. Where we died. Where death hangs out.
And so forth... Your body has the ability to find power spots. Your body will react in different ways to power spots based on what is there and how it connects. If I took you to a nearby power spot and asked you to sit on it. It might take some experimenting but you would eventually sit on it. Tempature is a great way to find power spots as they are localized to a certain change than their surroundings. Using your hands to sweep for a power spots with your eyes closed for energy can be felt and it has form, even if it is unseen.
