Animal Visits
#1
It's the time of year again for massive critter visits. Especially the feathered friends. I have been having a LOT of close encounters with hawks and I have been watching the Osprey by my house raise their two kids which has been really cool.
And then I am wondering with all these gator attacks and so forth in Florida, is it that not only is it the fact that we are moving too many new homes into their territory and pushing them out of their homes. But are they telling us that too many of us are disconnecting from our spirituality and ancient roots of our past with the great mother?
I was driving with a freind down the road Monday and an Egret decided to get up and take flight to go to a yard on our right. But we were driving behind the Egret and the bird knew it. We slowed down of course, but the poor bird looked back at us and clipped its wing on the stop sign which made him stumble in his flying and he decided to land ungacefully on the ground, and then start hunting for food like nothing happaned. Poor bird. And now because of that I am watching closely how things turn in this friendship because of that bird fumbling.
So has others here been having close animal encounters? What types of animals are you experiencing a moment with? And what is your take on the experience omen wise if you follow that?

Hello Creepy Pippy (love your nick name! )) )
I recently met a bird.
Most of the time the animals that appear in my dreams are there to tell me something on my current state. Like a.. clarifying message from spirit and the unconscious) Soething i need to focus on or be aware about etc Sometimes, these animals find their way in wake life to make a stronger statement))
As for the animals in wake life.. i live in the city, so for me it's mainly cats and dogs and birds and insects. i always look at the birds, since i was a kid and i "get" messages from their movement and their actions, in an abstract way, just following the feeling that is created inside me at each time. For eaxmple, once that i thought that someone had forgotten me, i went out at my balcony and at that moment i saw a pair of white peageons (there aren't many white peageons in athens)) ) meating in front of me and playing. I took it as a sign that that person hasn't forgotten me, and he hadn't indeed)
Dogs, i feel very close. There has been times when i return at home alone at night and dogs have followed me discreatly to my door and wait untill i go inside. I mean, without me doing anything or callling them. Just garding. Once i was very surprised by a black dog, a very serious dog who followed me like that looking in my eyes and staying at a distance until i went inside my building. I felt something very.. strange about that dog. I kept meeting him for some days in the neighbourhood, and he didn't ask for plays or anything. he had a strange energy.. Sometimes, i wish so bad i could see energy directly..
And cats) Cats are very wise, they have taught me much, about life and death and how nature is. One cat, made me the honor to share it's nature with me once. Sitting on my lap in front of a fire facing me, synchronising his breath with mine. After a while i felt like him, as if i was him, breathing together. I wait for him to show me more when he wishes. We shared breaths)
What else.. insects.. insects are so wierd.. i'll write another time about insects. They bring omens too, and gifts sometimes.

During my vacation i had three new totems appearing quite powerfully.
First one was Dragonfly. I don't think i ever saw so many dragonflys in my life before. They were beautifull and deep iridescent blue. i watched them fly and play and sparkle in the sunlight and they kept appearing everywhere we went (and went travelled to lots of places with my boyfriend this summer!).
Second one was Eagle. again, i saw so many eagles! and for the first time i saw them from really close. It seemed like there were eagles everywhere we went (along with the dragon flies). So magestic animals, perfect predatories, amazing at flight. We also met a pair of eagles that had nested at the beach we ended up. We watched the one flying above the small gulf and the other one observing us from high above the very first day we arrived there.. the image was so beautifull we just couldn't speak.
And finally the Seagull.
Of course seagulls are everywhere, but this time this one seagull almost performed a whole show in front of us. First landed on our left far away. Stayed there for some minutes. Then flew upand circled right in front of us really close, facing us and then circled around the whole gulf, came facing us coming really close again and then circled the gulf two more times and finally flew away.
He was so.. beautifull and proud and intelligent. he caused me such an awe-even though really seagulls are everywhere and are not afraid of humans, the movements of this one was really like a show just for us, since he didn't fish or anything (even though the gulf has lots of fish) but he just did his dance in front of us and then went away.
So, i had Dragonfly, Eagle and Seagull bringing their messages strongly this summer.
My boyfriend also had Lizzard and Porcupine.
We met actually lots of big porcupines killed in the middle of the streets. Which, i wonder, if it's a sign. They nmade me think of Doctor Green's paravole for humanity and earth.

Today I was listening to a song by T. Barabas "Endless Time" & I was getting right into the melody I guess, going all dreamy and nostalgic with it (I like to get all dreamy and nostalgic) ... and then I was watching this dead leaf fall down from the tree in the distance .... you know the way you sometimes watch something ... mind all still, silent and empty (no interpretation ... just the watching) & mind all slowed down to a very slow motion (like in the movies) ...
But then that dead leaf turned out to be a butterfly .... dancing the "eternity in a moment" there ....
Lovely.
So I guess a butterfly flew into my world today ... I thought as I went outside into my backyard garden ...
A big white butterfly came flying above my head and then a gust of wind blew in ... making the dead leaves fallen from this last winter's frosts rattle on the ground noisily ...
Time for that transformation I suppose ....

I just love those moments, that transcend duality ... i.e. dissolve the boundary or the barrier between observer and the observed ... letting the Spirit message of the moment "shine through" .... and also as in:

P.S. Can't remember the desert mouse in Dune .... it is long time ago, when I read the book.
