Modern Nagualism-Achieving Inner Silence.
#1
Inside your mind runs a dialogue. It talks to you. You listen and you believe the words you hear are yours? Are they really? This dialogue tells you things. About people. About how you feel. Your inner fears. Yourself. What would life be like without this constant mental noise? People like music because music can replace the dialogue if even briefly. This dialogue can be a master. It can make you its slave. Make you say and do things you would never do if no one told you to do them. The internal dialogue MUST be mastered by the warrior on this path. One starts by controlling the dialogue. Become spartan like in your control of it. Allow no thoughts that are unwanted. This process becomes extremely important when one gets into old age. The dialogue can be stopped. You can make it stop and each time you intentionally stop it for however long you become more its master. Have you ever tried to stop your internal dialogue? What is the result? Does it fight back? Modern Nagualism embraces the control of the internal dialogue for if a warrior can stop it then he can then inject intent into his will. Will is the opposite of the internal dialogue. Will is the Warrior's Way.

I've been trying for years and years And silencing is progressing, to be sure...excruciatingly slowly....soooooooo slowly. Easily distracted....easily bumped off course....easily indulgent or in giving up saying "*** it!" (that doesn't last long though things get bad quickly then). And yet, something is progressing in fits and halts. Silence is deepening. The hardest thing I've ever endeavored in my entire life...the pursuit of sustained silence. Sometimes my mind goes absolutely apeshit in retaliation...so, yeah...its been a hard slow go for me. But let me tell you straight up....its been worth it.....every inch fought for has been worth the effort

i have decided to hold hands with my self reflection for a while , to see if we can integrate and call ourselves the same and "one" , instead of fight

"dis-own" an aspect .

Carlos's internal dialogue infected me for long enough , so now he can step aside while i re investigate the boundaries .LOL

The infinite as a pillar of light , not separate .

What is the difference between holding an image of someone elses dialogue and your own ? in the one , you can hear silence and their recommendations , in the other you can hear your own and give service to integration ,laughing at it "your best friend " as yourself , is a powerful tool that should not be discarded ......

the part where they >"them old warriors" began to think they would never make it , and this very thing was what caused them to cross into freedom , is what i was thinking about lately .

a very important statement i thought.

They let go , loosed .

whateveritisitis

perennial adaptation, acceptance, integration...all of it suspended in a trust that doesn't necessarily know "wtf" but finds its way through nonetheless

It's all good

Sometimes when I am stopping my internal dialogue I get hung up on the actual thought which is thinking about stopping the internal dialogue.   I keep hearing the phrase in my head.....stop the internal dialogue but I think to my self, this is also the internal dialogue.   So I have a conversation with myself about stopping the internal dialogue which is actually sustaining the internal dialogue.     I have no other thoughts in my head but this one and it is the hardest to get rid of.

The best way for me to stop the internal dialogue is by not doing.    By not doing, my mind become blank and I can then access silent knowledge.

Thinking about not thinking....LOL Yeah, my flyer pulls that prank all the time too.

Not doing is good, agree. One of the most powerful is what I think I've heard of as called "not doing of the self": A way of cultivated a kind of whole body sense of self...like feeling the whole body as a sense of vibratory presence that is aware of itself amidst it surroundings. IT's not a "hard" awareness, necessarily...like trying to concentrate on any particular feature/sensation of awareness....its more of a soft, general, whole awareness that is a feeling of "presence" as they say...that is loose and able to go in any direction because it is directionless....something along those lines. This feeling/state for me seems to be the easiest to uphold because it seems fundamentally effortless...and yet is still effect in silencing the internal dialogue because it saturates the whole being, thus demands attention which becomes unavailable for inner dialog.

I use this "not doing of the self" to uphold silence and enter the double directly from an awake state while lying in bed. It works suprisingly often ffor me

I believe it was Silvio Manuel who suggested they tie Carlos at the neck by the leather strap to get a gauge of what type of resistance he would present ,

he could as they say have realised the knot was a sham false knot , and could snap open and be released easily .

I believe there is something in that story ,at least for me at the moment , for this purpose the riddle of the two minds ,

realizing the dualism created and the moment the knot had been placed there to begin with,

the beginning of the original illusion perhaps . The introduction of fear and separation and the tethering of the self .

Seems to make some sense .

The struggling against the slip-knot cinches the knot tighter. The knot is easily loosened and unraveled if tension placed against it is released
