I'll take a stab at it...

What we refer to as "power" is simply our attentive capacity, or our ability to be in awareness of our world of experience at any one moment.  The more all-encompassing our awareness, the more it can include in terms of our world of experience, the more power.  Attention - power:  same thing.


 

Power is very important.  All tools that aid in accessing awake mind are energized through power, or attention.  Power is not a "thing" or an energy even.  It is simply our ability to be in awareness at any time.


To say "personal power" implies that there may be something like a "person" who can have some "power."  But there is no such thing, as such.  There is awareness, and there is the power implicit in that awareness, but there is no single entity (such as an "I") that wields that power.


If you see what I am saying here, then you see that it's pretty radical.  This should actually make no sense at all to a person that has not looked very closely at what is going on in any single moment of experience (i.e. done a lot of sitting meditation or recapping).  
"What do you mean there is no 'I'?  I'm right here right now and I know it!"  
At this point I can only say, "Please show me who is here right now."  And of course, when we 'look', we find nothing, though it takes a lifetime of 'seeing' to even begin to be convinced that there is really 'no-thing' here to be called an "I".

Power = attention. Pretty good analogy Madman! I will offer
a similar but different perspective.


 


Personal Power is not on the island of the Tonal. Thus it
cannot be described. The effects of Power are manifested in the Tonal and can
be delineated. Every being has attention of some degree. I see the effect of
Personal Power as the ability to manifest Intent. I also agree that it
manifests as enhanced attention, but that seems to be one of several effects;
the ability to dream, the ability to move the AP, the ability to see energy,
and so on.


 


Power does not accumulate through adding things. Power is
hunted, as those here know. Even so, Power accrues through giving things up.
This means that to become something more, one must give up parts of the self to
allow the change. Power does not come through having more. Nothing can be added
to a person that is full. Power and Freedom comes through having less! A
warrior is not enlightened because he has collected a lot of ideas,
information, workshops, or even experience. He is enlightened because he knows
how to empty himself.



To be more specific, as one evolves toward the Nahual, one is no longer aware
of the 'completed parts' of the self, because they have become Power. The only
parts of the self that one can experience as being the self are the parts that
are incomplete! Saving Power is thus the process of becoming increasingly aware
of the parts of the self that are incomplete and different from the Nahual.



The hypocrite will pretend that he is already complete and try to live out of
that pretended completeness. This places us outside the Source as a separate entity!




One must be aware of his 'incompleteness' and live out of that to be
truly one's self. The parts that are complete are encountered as the Nahual.
The parts that are incomplete are encountered as one's self. As self-importance
is progressively released, the remaining ‘self’ shrinks. The mission is to finally
lose the self within the great Web and be complete.

Everything can be described if one has enough knowledge, and fast enough synapses to explain to oneself first to others later. The personal power is much more then manifest intent when in right hands is the ability to create a reality for many regardless of the obstacles and bumps on the way. Yes it has those effects but is the consequence of increased amount of energy in the body, move the ap, lucid dreaming, seeing of energy.
Power is accumulated by balance in everything, it is hunted like if one's prey never stopping for a brake not a moment to relax. One giving pieces of oneself up is nothing more then a presumptuous fool hoping to achieve something out of it i will tell you further what exactly. More can be added to a person every day depends of the willingness of the person to accumulate several new useful things not of it's emptiness or fullness. The hypocrite thinks there is no room for more, one that refuses to learn regardless of weather is mundane or sorcery is such, also tends to imagine things like he/she possess the only and all incorruptible truth even if perhaps others have the same knowledge in different form. The source thus the Eagle is not bonded to any humans the way humans think, so the other part of your theory is pretty much annulled since you do not know what is different between the one giving the awareness and the ones receiving it. 
One must be aware of his/her own self before anything else, then see if he/she is complete or not on different plains of existence and try and fill the voids before acting on anything. The parts in the Nagual belong to others alive or yet to be born thus try and see what you do before preaching it to others as truth: there are no spare parts for the "less fortunate" in infinity, so giving bits of personal " crapola" does not make one be the Nagual but another that thinks humans and other beings are spare parts for their own use. Let's just call it magic transplant of parts for a limited bunch of humans that screwed something up. If the self shrinks very much you nullify your own existence and live in a universe created by yourself very lonely place to be where are no others but you alone also you nullify this existence as you. The final is to have made your best in your existence as it was given to you by the Eagle, done the best with what was given to you not to anyone else but to you.
I loved the show as child, hey did you know that the first "suggestion" to the Matrix i saw there? Also several others but i saw that episode twice and you remind me of Frankenstein, doky.

SelfHealedMadman here is my answer : personal power is nothing special. I have it give it use it grow it every day like the riddle you know? What is always there but never seen? Me inside, who is not important much to anyone but everything to me. I can dream i can move i can create i can destroy my own creation like a child on the sea shore making castles of sand. Only to remake new ones better perhaps adding some seashells this time. I am sorry i can reply this just like i do here hoping all here will understand. Reply to one of the most difficult question as only a child could honest and true.

Here is my adult version of what i previously posted to my eye as seer appears as lightning. Mornings Son is right partially the real answer is " Chi moving" or " Chi Ai". It feels like a lightening in one's fibers i see it on others for i am not able to see myself on regular basis. For those that use tantric path " Kundalini rising" or " Shen Ka" for the egyptian belief system "Nawal chuak" for the maya belief system. Just so everyone understands i have the seeing and have to express it so others on other path understand what i mean. I am lucky enough to know others that are on different paths and as a courtesy to them i translate for all.

I like this post. Juan said we are the sum total of our personal power. When I see it manifested it's like - there's this guy walking around me showing me my points that I call/ed self for now. Literally and in general
