Hello everyone.
I bet all of you remember in, The Teachings of Don Juan, when Carlos uses datura paste on his body, and ends up transforming into a crow and flying around.
Also, there are many occasions where CC talks about shape-shifting in his books. About sorcerers changing into animals, or changing their appearance at will.
Personally, I think we don`t talk about it enough. Why, because shape-changing is the coolest thing ever.
I would love to be able to shape-shift at will, I`d be swimming in the oceans and flying as an eagle in the sky. If you think about it, shape-shifting is
crucial to sorcerers like the death-defier, maybe to all of them. Imagine actually looking a thousand years old, that`s not good. The death-defier even choose
a different sex...
So I don`t know about you, but I think it`s worth all the work to become a sorcerer you to be able to shape-shift.
Your stories and comments would be appreciated.

lol...
Personally I would never shape shift just because I thought it would be a cool thing to do. If there was a specific purpose that spirit pointed out, and I
could shapeshift I would tho.
I've been on this path a long frikkin time, and I still havent accumulated enough energy to shapeshift....if I did ever get to that level, I wouldnt waste
the energy on something just because I thought it would be fun. This stuff is a lot of hard work, and while Im happy with my path, and it is a very
interesting life to live, it is not about fun.
But thats just me...
to each their own.
Love

The most dangerous and powerful Nagual of Julian's heirs (Don Juan words here), Silvio Manuel, was also the most simple and mysterious of them all.
In one of the books of CC La Gorda (if I remember well) tells that while Don Juan had to manipulate his intent to take the AP to a certain position to fly
around or do wonders Silvio Manuel didn't have to do anything.
He was one with the intent of the spirit. If he wanted to, he could transform himself into anything.... yet he didn't do things like that: He just sat in heightened awareness... permanently.
This tell us two things:
1. The "gifts of power" (positions of the AP and how to achieve them) of the Death Defier are rather crappy and distracting in comparison. (Don Juan
says in this matter that those gifts made the naguals of his line very indulgent in nature)
2. To get true power we need to loose our tonal ambition for lesser, indulgent power.
As for the question itself (To shape-shift or not to shape-shift) I agree that it may be a very useful power to remain anonymous in the tonal world. If you are
formless you can truly become unknown.

Yes shape-shifting would be the ultimate way to remain anonymous. A good tool for stalking I presume (when you are stalking others).
If you combine teleportation and and shape-shifting, you can be anyone, anywhere, any time.

Another instance of shape shift is the case of the four Tulios.
Apparently shape shifting is about manipulation of intent. The four Tulios intended for several weeks the change a significative parts of their bodies in order
to be similar to the naked eye.
Julian, on the other hand, changed slighly all the time... making him someone difficult to visually remember (again, Don Juan words here).
As for teleportation as far as I know the trick is inserting the gross body inside the subtle one. Sounds like another case of manipulation of intent if you
ask me.

I cant shape-shift myself, but the urge happened many time. It was at a certain period in my life where many things happened at the same time.
For many weeks, when I was alone, I would start ti hiss like a wild cat. I felt every hair on my skin, it felt like fur (it felt like I could grow them at
will). I felt my muscles so souple and strong, and I felt my claws and my canines. When I felt I was turning, I felt like a feline. Good thing I knew about
this phenomenon before this happened.
At one particular time, I felt my bone structure change, my muscles all loosed up at the same time, I started to act internally like a cat, I got on my hands
and knees, and I tell you I really felt like changing. It was a weird but very cool experience. When you change, you also change internally, I presume.
Hope you can do it some day mollymarie.

Yes Intent
Seems everything in sorcery has to do with intent.
Intent as in intention, and intent as in energy, the two combined seem to open the doors.

Following the idea it seems that in your case you have a fair amount of power of intent, but lack of cohesion. That is the main objective
of stalking... gaining cohesion for dreaming and intent.

Cohesion? I lack cohesion about what? I don`t think you know me enough to say something like that.
Which of my posts are you referring to anyway?

Wow! I didn't mean that you don't have any cohesion... not at all.
But your story of the wild cat told me that you have the power for many feats, yet you can't (yet) do them. You have the power and the aim, but (I dare to
guess, since I'm the Grand Speculator after all) you don't have the cold headed cohesion needed to actually do it. You get excited and/or anxious.
That's all.
A nice solution to the matter is seeking advice from Death.
PS: Don't get jumpy about what I (or anyone here) say... after all, I'm just another **** behind a keyboard... a speculator, to make matters worst.
Does it matter what I say?

**** behind the keyboard, that looks like a song title for your next album
Yes the shape-changing thing was chaotic if that`s what you mean. It lasted two months. The whole thing was involuntary.
This event and other mystical events in my life, are the direct cause for me seeking out sites like this one.
Good thing I had read CC before the whole thing happened. I guess it was`nt just coincidence.
Actually, I felt various animal possibilities inside my body. And, possibilities for changing my appearance, I just felt it, for no reason. It would have been
easy to think I was going nuts. When I felt the snake, my tongue wanted to separate in a fork...
From what I felt in my body, I did'nt shape-change because I did'nt have the energy to do it. If I would have accumulated more intent, things would
have been different. I think I was on the edge of doing it.

It does sound like a song title! haha!
Yes you where on the edge. It will come, in time.
When it does, please don't become a circus freak. (one of those guys that uses his subtle developments for impressing assholes) It's a complete waste.
Magical life is for magical individuals. The tonals of the world hate and fear the miraculous or, perhaps worst, they are fascinated by it and/or become
parasites of the magical beings.
Magical freedom is like the wings of a butterfly... it must remain untouched.

What about Criss Angel, you know him? He show`s of his gifts on tv. And I`m very grateful he did.
I taught about what I would do, in the case of developing fully into a magical being. I`d probably keep it for myself most of the time. But there might be
exceptions. I guess I`d have to learn by myself with experience.
Aside from the supernatural abilities, the real gift of the liberated person, is probably more in the heart. Being free and living fully all my possibilities
is what I really want.

Criss Angel is an illusionist, not a magician (no speculation here, hehe!). His tricks go from elaborate to very simple. There are plenty videos
on the web showing how he does his tricks. Physical feats he does, but that's another story. Most illusionist have some intuition, but it's on a very
early phase of development.
The issue here is something that I mentioned earlier: Nagual powers are for nagual aims. If you use powers for tonal aims (popularity, personal gain or sense
gratification) your subtle development comes to a stop.
We are, after all, seeking the freedom of the spirit. That is, mostly, freeing yourself from the trap of the tonal's ambitions.
I heard a story once about a yogi that practiced for over twenty years to achieve the miraculous feat of actually breathing fire from his mouth, like a dragon.
He then met with a meditation guru and told him about his "spiritual" achievement. The guru just said: "Very good! Now you can join the
circus."
That is why I insist on my posts about the traps of power. It's very easy to become a slave of subtle power, but that is not freedom. It's another form
of tonal expansion. You become a materialist of the subtle, no very different from being an actual materialist.

If you look more closely you will see Criss Angel is both an illusionnist and an liberated individual.
Yes some guy put up a few clips to try and explain his tricks, but these clips are not from Criss Angel himself, they are bogus.
When he walks on water, walks on walls, flyes in the air, goes true a window, its all real.
And, he is also a normal magician, he is both.

Criss Angel may be free of some of the average western conditioning, but that's not freedom. As for the clips there is at least one of Criss himself
teaching how the illusion of levitation works.
It may be the case that Criss is a somewhat advanced individual, but today he is at most a successful illusionist. Same with Copperfield and many others.
Illusionists tend to be disappointed magicians. Houdini became very skeptic after his short search for the spiritual world.
Steven Seagal is a recognised "Tulku" (reincarnation of a tibetan guru) and yet today is not at the same level he had in that past life. Being an
"old soul" means nothing if you can't handle your tonal ambitions and self-importance.
