There are real places in this universe. That may seem a stupid thing to say.
What I mean is there are places both in our waking and dreaming that are more real than anything we "normally" experience. In fact, the Bible says that we are dreaming, sleeping, and dead. That is in our "normal" state of mind.
I recently had this shown to me in a way that had a profound effect on me.
Maybe I had better illustrate.
I related on this list quite a while ago a dream I had had.
This dream happened about eighteen years ago.
I was dreaming that there were these letters hanging above the ground about seven feet.
These letters were arranged in such a way as to be a Bible verse written in Hebrew. At least it seemed to be Hebrew or a similar language.
As I read the verse, I understood it with crystal clarity.
I mean not just in English (because I do not speak or read Hebrew, exept a few words) But I mean that I understood the Bible verse with "crystal clarity". It was a Verse that I was familiar with and yet, I knew it at a depth that was beyond anything that I had known before.
All I could think of was "Why hadn't I ever understood that before? it is so simple! It is literal!"
As soon as I thought that, the letters began to laugh at me as if they were alive. like little children laughing at me. But it was not a scornful laughter, on the contrary, it was as if they were delighted that I understood them.
I thought that god had been playing a practical joke on me
Then, the letters rearranged themselves into another Bible verse and I forgot the first verse. But the exact same thing happened,..I bcame "enlightened" again by the next verse! And again they laughted and again I was floored by the depth of my new understanding of a verse that I had read a hundred times before.
I awoke from this strange dream and got out of bed only to find that the dream did not stop. Over and over again, I was having revealed to me the mysteries of existence and over and over I was being laughted at and then, forgeting what I had just learned.
I sat down on my bathroom floor, stunned at what I was experiencing. I remained in a state of "Heightened Awareness" for a few weeks or months after this experience. As has been the case after I experience a vision.
Now, the present.
About two months ago, I was reading a book from the "Nag Hammadi Library". Some of you have probably heard of this collection of scrolls that were discovered in Egypt in 1945 i think. some people call them the "Gnostic Gospels'.
Anyway, this is what I read in a scroll written around 150 A.D. by a man named Valentinus;
"He has brought many back from error. He has gone before them to their places, from which they had moved away, since it was on account of the depth that they received error, the depth of the one who encircles all spaces, while there is none that encircles him. It was a great wonder that they were in the Father, not knowing him, and (that) they were able to come forth by themselves, since they were unable to comprehend or to know the one in whom they were. For if his will had not thus emerged from him - for he revealed it in view of a knowledge in which all its emanations concur.
(((((This is the knowledge of the living book, which he revealed to the aeons.... (the aeons are a class of beings existing from eternity, conceived as emanating from the supreme being I added this definition from the dictionary of angels) ....that were at the end as his letters, revealing how they are not vowels nor are they consonants, so that one might read them and think of something foolish, but (rather that) they are letters of the truth, which they alone speak who know them. Each letter is a complete , like a complete book, since they are letters written by the Unity, the Father)))) having written them for the aeons, in order that by means of his letters they should know the Father."
This is, I realize, a bit difficult to understand the writing. At least for me it is.
But the thing I wanted to point out, is that there was in reading this book, a confirmation for me that the experience that I had had was real.And an experience that someone else had went through. Not only that, but that these "living letters", that had been involved in the Creation, were sent by the Source to communicate not only to me, but to a man who was alive around 1850 years before me. To teach us of the Father.
And how many other people between he and I had also seen them and heard them laugh? And how many will in the future?
And how many who visit this forum?
Again I ask the question that I asked a few weeks ago,...
