hence "spiritual warfare" aka total war

"I have already told you that in (this) universe there is only war. The confrontations of men are a
reflection of what happens out there. It is normal for one species to try to consume another; a warrior does not complain about it, and tries to survive." -Carlos Castaneda

It's a matter of perspective. "War" is an idea that musters a certain intensity that might be considered necessary to gain ground. Carol Tiggs preferred a sense of devotion engendered by the direct experience of "love" or, as they called it, "abstract affection", to distinguish from the social experience of "romantic love" which is typically so contaminated by self indulgence that it is useless in terms of self evolution. Personally, I think "abstract affection" is a more intelligent motivator than "war", which has something to much of fear behind it. The sheer, direct experience of affection for that which makes us whole...engenders well-being...engenders the most complete sense of "life" in all its intensity. But then again, maybe judicious application of both, when the time is right...but instead of "fear"...more of acute exhilaration...pressure of intense immediacy. Fear maybe has too much morbid self absorption.
I don't know...whatever "works for you" I guess is best.

GL: War = Spiritual warfare. Both Buddha and Don Juan say war. Both yoga and nagualism/sorcery are the same warrior as a ground, the same struggle of body-mind. You cant struggle only with body (as a dumbass fitness guy), you cant struggle only with mind (as an intelectual.) Motivation is something else.. but if you look at the point of the previous, predators are pretty heavy, so we cant say that we dont know about, no no. We know about it. Hunters/Archonts/Flyers are not parable. Energy body/soul is not a parable too. If you dont take care of a soul, or of body-mind, you have got the problem. In buddhism (whats is yoga anyway), the body-mind are the same, there is only the soul/energy body in dualism, in dichotomy. At least, to take care of it, is a struggle. Because otherwise man is ****, food, slave, imprisoned, sedated. We know about FI and octopuses ))
Once again, Buddha and Don Juan say: war... spiritual warfare Buddha: This is Hunter... Don Juan: This is Invader... Predatory universe, both Buddha and Don Juan say. Those are authorities. Buddha and Don Juan are in perfect agreement on this predatory universe ("kama"-dhatu, what is sense-realm, the sense means here the eagle emanations).

That doesn't matter much. I don't consider either Buddha or don Juan inscrutable authorities, although I like their perspective for the most part...it tends to resonate. This is a good example. Warfare is an interpretation, nothing more nothing less...and thus it is useful in as much as it is useful from ones personal perspective. My perspective is different. In fact, I personally see where the whole "warfare" motif can create some big time problems...where it can perpetuate a perceptual interpretation which may outlive its usefulness. i.e. we perpetually create a motif of warfare in order to feel motivated...i.e. we're only motivated when we are actively fighting against something.

Good point.
Don Juan and Buddha were certainly not militaristic. Castaneda himself has defined it as putting whole body and everything into that. So the better definition, as the "war" is a bit misleading, but the spiritual warfare, the best definition is: total deployment. total deployment of both body-mind, energy, everything, into that. with one single motivation/intent. the motivation is purely in the individual who becomes warrior, who is turning it on. i.e. to Turn on. This is the definition of becoming warrior. (the spiritual warfare is body-mind, and the whole energy) Why ? Because otherwise if one is not a spiritual warrior, then one is food for a spiritual predator ))) And i am telling it to everybody for long years, you are food my friend, this is Matrix )
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
hence the warrior. there is no other point on the axes yoga(buddhism)/nagualism than warrior.
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
GL: notice that FI/FE is NOT flyers mind... FI/FE is in the sixth center and belongs to Hunter... flyers mind is octupus at seventh center (crown chakra)
because the old sorcerers were mostly not free of FI too !!! many sorcerers, or majority of members here have still FI !!! to not have FI means the full regrowth, to be like Buddha. frankly, nobody of you here has the coat of awareness above the breasts... maybe NLW only. this is the reason why i say that it is total war... frankly, except of NLW, i can say that you all here are still food. to stop to be a food is to stop to be a new ager ;D
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
this is pure truth and diagnostic tool.
the awareness grows from toes... above knees, above waist, above breasts, overhead regrowth. if you raise it above knees you start to see IBs and energy... above waist this is considerable, and the old sorcerers never get it overhead, they were at breasts.
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
GL: You are at knees-waist level ! ) lost time at PP ))
haha, i am ending this discourse, i have needed to clear my head on yoga/nagualism.
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
i dont believe that any member here had the full regrowth (of coat of awareness) 99,9 % percent of members here are deers. yes, deers can dream and this is all ,)
Until you have got the full regrowth, you are still the deer... and dont try to discuss with Don Juan/Buddha :-)) deers.food. war ! spiritual warfare... we have got high intelligence on this board. we are lucky to have it. we are lucky to know what is real castaneda, real yoga and real buddhism ))
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
if i have come here and told you at first instance, stop being to be the hunted deers.. nobody would understand.
but now you understand. and i tell you - because Buddha, Don Juan, nor Castaneda - are not here: You are the hunted deers :-))) And this is the pure truth. change that. And this is pure buddhism. There is absolutely no excuse for that, no sweet words, except the Buddhas (who was a formidable warrior in his quest): You are the hunted deers. This is the reason i have come here, to tell you.
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
it took decades before Castaneda could finally publish this in 1998. About the Invader (Hunter).
otherwise it was present only in the ancient pali scriptures. No suprise here that Castaneda was pegged as a "winner", if this was such a "top secret". and it was top secret among the ancient sorcerers. So its pretty clear where has it all deteriorated, buddhism, yoga, castaneda... in respect of this critical knowledge. The pure truth is that except of tens of people, maybe one hundred, but certainly not more than one thousand from the 6 billions on the earth, are deers, food. This is pure truth. Pure Matrix ! maybe only NLW is not deer. but rest of you are, deers. Now maybe you can understand how it is hard to be in this position ,)) Do something with that please !!!!
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
and this is the end of offical statement by nagual authority ,)
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
Total deployment . Yeah I like that analogy
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
GL: raise it, the coat of awareness about waist level and remain modest ,) Otherwise Seymoure (see more) will come to get you ,)
=== Carlos has told that this certain type of "compassion" was pure and mortal insanity, an antithesis of warrior. I am sure that anybody can become warrior if he or she decides so and only with a bit of inteligence can come to this critical knowledge. or any other knowledge, e.g. buddhist knowledge. I am not worried about world in this regard anymore. The sad fact is that he died because he has lost time with people like on the "sustained action" in 90s and others. Donner had called it his biggest mistake/stupidity, this sustained action/reaction people. He could burn it. It is not so hard to burn the fire from within with full recapitulation, as one simply burns with awareness. Nevertheless, he took the other option he had available. Otherwise he was impeccable.

"An unconquerable pessimism overtakes a warrior at a certain point on
his path. A sense of defeat, or perhaps more accurately, a sense of unworthiness, comes upon him almost unawares. A warrior's resolution to live impeccably in spite of everything cannot be approached as a strategy to ensure success. The warrior enters into a state of unsurpassed humility; when the true poverty of his human resources becomes undeniable, the warrior has no recourse but to step back and lower his head. It is monstrous to think that the world is understandable or that we ourselves are understandable. What we are perceiving is an enigma, a mystery that one can only accept in humbleness and awe. The two sides of a human being are totally separate and it takes great discipline and determination to break that seal and go from one side to the other. We have been put together by forces incomprehensible to our reason. The only thing we do not have is time. Every minute might be our last; therefore, it has to be lived with the spirit." -Don Juan
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
Spirit... is the life 100 %
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
it is so simple to be warrior :-)
a pleasure. intensity.
08-04-2012, 12:13 AM
"remain modest"
word
08-05-2012, 12:13 AM
yeah man, i was dreaming (we were all there in a canteen being served food ,) and then suddenly wake up and what ?
invisible inorganic comes and take invisibly your energy (by vibratory transfer) and you have no idea it happened, except fear and losing energy... and this is it how they work. we have no idea what is happening. it is so "abstract" this predatory condition - "we are not their slaves but salaried workers" and what about the soul/energy body ? it is being screwed in the same way over there, and again, we have no idea... and then you die, and you were obliged to fight
08-05-2012, 12:13 AM
it is a war.
08-05-2012, 12:13 AM
A man of knowledge is one who has followed truthfully the hardships of learning, a man who has, without rushing or without faltering, gone as far as he can in unraveling the secrets of power and knowledge. To become a man of knowledge one must challenge and defeat his four natural enemies.
When a man starts to learn, he is never clear about his objectives. His purpose is faulty; his intent is vague. He hopes for rewards that will never materialize for he knows nothing of the hardships of learning. He slowly begins to learn--bit by bit at first, then in big chunks. And his thoughts soon clash. What he learns is never what he pictured, or imagined, and so he begins to be afraid. Learning is never what one expects. Every step of learning is a new task, and the fear the man is experiencing begins to mount mercilessly, unyieldingly. His purpose becomes a battlefield. And thus he has stumbled upon the first of his natural enemies: fear! A terrible enemy--treacherous, and difficult to overcome. It remains concealed at every turn of the way, prowling, waiting. And if the man, terrified in its presence, runs away, his enemy will have put an end to his quest and he will never learn. He will never become a man of knowledge. He will perhaps be a bully, or a harmless, scared man; at any rate, he will be a defeated man. His first enemy will have put an end to his cravings. It is not possible for a man to abandon himself to fear for years, then finally conquer it. If he gives in to fear he will never conquer it, because he will shy away from learning and never try again. But if he tries to learn for years in the midst of his fear, he will eventually conquer it because he will never have really abandoned himself to it. Therefore he must not run away. He must defy his fear, and in spite of it he must take the next step in learning, and the next, and the next. He must be fully afraid, and yet he must not stop. That is the rule! And a moment will come when his first enemy retreats. The man begins to feel sure of himself. His intent becomes stronger. Learning is no longer a terrifying task. When this joyful moment comes, the man can say without hesitation that he has defeated his first natural enemy. It happens little by little, and yet the fear is vanquished suddenly and fast. Once a man has vanquished fear, he is free from it for the rest of his life because, instead of fear, he has acquired clarity--a clarity of mind which erases fear. By then a man knows his desires; he knows how to satisfy those desires. He can anticipate the new steps of learning and a sharp clarity surrounds everything. The man feels that nothing is concealed. And thus he has encountered his second enemy: Clarity! That clarity of mind, which is so hard to obtain, dispels fear, but also blinds. It forces the man never to doubt himself. It gives him the assurance he can do anything he pleases, for he sees clearly into everything. And he is courageous because he is clear, and he stops at nothing because he is clear. But all that is a mistake; it is like something incomplete. If the man yields to this make-believe power, he has succumbed to his second enemy and will be patient when he should rush. And he will fumble with learning until he winds up incapable of learning anything more. His second enemy has just stopped him cold from trying to become a man of knowledge. Instead, the man may turn into a buoyant warrior, or a clown. Yet the clarity for which he has paid so dearly will never change to darkness and fear again. He will be clear as long as he lives, but he will no longer learn, or yearn for, anything. He must do what he did with fear: he must defy his clarity and use it only to see, and wait patiently and measure carefully before taking new steps; he must think, above all, that his clarity is almost a mistake. And a moment will come when he will understand that his clarity was only a point before his eyes. And thus he will have overcome his second enemy, and will arrive at a position where nothing can harm him anymore. This will not be a mistake. It will not be only a point before his eyes. It will be true power. He will know at this point that the power he has been pursuing for so long is finally his. He can do with it whatever he pleases. His ally is at his command. His wish is the rule. He sees all that is around him. But he has also come across his third enemy: Power! Power is the strongest of all enemies. And naturally the easiest thing to do is to give in; after all, the man is truly invincible. He commands; he begins by taking calculated risks, and ends in making rules, because he is a master. A man at this stage hardly notices his third enemy closing in on him. And suddenly, without knowing, he will certainly have lost the battle. His enemy will have turned him into a cruel, capricious man, but he will never lose his clarity or his power. A man who is defeated by power dies without really knowing how to handle it. Power is only a burden upon his fate. Such a man has no command over himself, and cannot tell when or how to use his power. Once one of these enemies overpowers a man there is nothing he can do. It is not possible, for instance, that a man who is defeated by power may see his error and mend his ways. Once a man gives in he is through. If, however, he is temporarily blinded by power, and then refuses it, his battle is still on. That means he is still trying to become a man of knowledge. A man is defeated only when he no longer tries, and abandons himself. He has to come to realize that the power he has seemingly conquered is in reality never his. He must keep himself in line at all times, handling carefully and faithfully all that he has learned. If he can see that clarity and power, without his control over himself, are worse than mistakes, he will reach a point where everything is held in check. He will know then when and how to use his power. And thus he will have defeated his third enemy. The man will be, by then, at the end of his journey of learning, and almost without warning he will come upon the last of his enemies: Old age! This enemy is the cruelest of all, the one he won't be able to defeat completely, but only fight away. This is the time when a man has no more fears, no more impatient clarity of mind--a time when all his power is in check, but also the time when he has an unyielding desire to rest. If he gives in totally to his desire to lie down and forget, if he soothes himself in tiredness, he will have lost his last round, and his enemy will cut him down into a feeble old creature. His desire to retreat will overrule all his clarity, his power, and his knowledge. But if the man sloughs off his tiredness, and lives his fate though, he can then be called a man of knowledge, if only for the brief moment when he succeeds in fighting off his last, invincible enemy. That moment of clarity, power, and knowledge is enough.

Truth is here understood to be all– pervading and inherent in all beings. To realize this, one’s practice must be a constant experiment with consciousness, producing an awareness of its richness and capacities. In the end, such consequent, methodical work that involves one’s body, speech, and mind leads to an experience of consciousness’s totality—to enlightenment—as it did with Buddha himself.
