The flaw with words is that they always make us feel enlightened, but when we turn around to face the world they always fail us and we end up facing the world as we always have, without enlightenment. For this reason, a warrior seeks to act rather than to talk, and to this effect, he gets a new description of the world—a new description where talking is not that important, and where new acts have new reflections.

And actions are sourced by intent, so its really...seeing and changing intent. Good quote Datura.

I think that when one's thoughts are turned into words via the internal dialogue, clarity, as enemy, enters in and gives one the impetus to give those words audible voice.
But semantics always come into play when two or more persons attempt to convey the non-linguistic knowing of the soul through the linguistic manipulations of self. And even when all participants might very well be trying to explain the exact same thing that happens within, when that explanation comes out, the differences in the words of each, more often than not, makes it seem there are differences, both slight and vast, between the experiences, and so then the unity is turned into competition and a sense of separation.
Semantics
See man tics (like a nervous tic or like a clock tick tock tick tock)
Actions speak louder than words and actions bring results. Words are used as indulgences and one of the most common uses is justification...trying to explain an experience or idea in the hopes that the other person can validate it by saying they agree, or relate, or believe it to be possible. And because of the pattern I described, the result of this attempt is disagreement or disappointment with the other...leading to a clinging to of self-importance and therefore the sense of being offended...which often causes, in the general population, a stronger need to find external justification.
A vicious circle indeed. One that we have all observed in the goings-on of internet forums and discussion groups!
The warrior has no need to self-justify as the regular person does. The warrior doesn't get offended because there is no importance of self. The warrior knows the work is important but the self is not.
The work performs...the self wants to talk about the performance...
Therefore even if seeking out to learn and observe and share in discussions such as here and other forums, a true warrior is not going to get offended or press their point or depend on mere words to validate the truths that they know, through active observation, to be absolutely true...to *see* the truth greatly eliminates the need to try to prove it through words...to other people or even within.
And I've just undermined all of my words by bringing those same words into existence here for you all to witness.

Actions speak louder than words? Action can speak?

Sure. As long as you are able to *hear*.

Not Looking or Listening.

I see that words are also a form of action. Such as I type these words, and then they are put out into the world as an act. If we were face to face, I would instead speak the words and the sounds is then put out into space, same thing except one reads the words here, and one hears the words in the second scenario. In dreaming often we talk to others wordlessly but we still hear words that convey and inform and are the actions of dreaming. The fact that we are linguistic creatures means we can advance awareness to such a high degree via such exchanges. Other animals communicate with their own languages, but human language is the most advanced in that its been made into a material object.
The lead post quote here warns about not being honest in facing self. In such case words are used like shields to cover truths that are uncomfortable in one way or another. These words also become actions. The problem is such actions only maintain what is being shielded. And what is being shielded will always be some form of painful memory or experience. The fear of facing such keeps one from evolving beyond it becasue they will hide behind word-actions that keep that memory/experience far far away. Intent comes into factor in that we can intend a new perceptional stance in regards to the dilemma. First though one has to face self to see what needs to be changed, compassion is very useful for this. The FI will also make a bid for awareness at this time. No one said being a warrior was easy
