Part One:The power that governs the destiny of all living beings is called the Eagle, not because it is an eagle or has anything to do with an eagle, but because it appears to the seer as an immeasurable jet-black eagle, standing erect as an eagle stands, its height reaching to infinity.
As the seer gazes on the blackness that the eagle is, four blazes of light reveal what the Eagle is like. The first blaze, which is like a bolt of lightening, helps the seer make out the contours of the Eagle's body. There are patches of whiteness that look like an eagles feathers and talons. A second blaze of lightening reveals the flapping, wind creating blackness that looks like an eagle's wings. With the third blaze of lightening the seer beholds a piercing, inhuman eye. And the fourth and last blaze discloses what the Eagle is doing.
The Eagle is devouring the awareness of all the creatures that, alive on earth a moment before and now dead, have floated to the Eagle's beak, like a ceaseless swarm of fireflies, to meet their owner, their reason for having had life. The Eagle disentangles these tiny flames, lays them flat, as a tanner stretches out a hide, and then consumes them; for awareness is the Eagles food.
The Eagle, that power that governs the destinies of all living things, reflects equally and at once all those living things. There is no way, therefore, for man to pray to the Eagle, to ask favors, to hope for grace. The human part of the whole is too insignificant to move the whole.
NLW:I have seen the Eagle on several occasions and it is actually like it is described above. The Dead float up to the Eagle's mouth like a ceaseless swarm. Interesting description next: The eagle disentangles them, lies them flat then consumes them. I have not seen this act of lying the dead beings flat, I just saw them swarming at the eagle's mouth. Can you imagine yourself being flattened as described? All living beings that die float up to the eagle. Silent knowledge tells me they are flattened so the eagle knows what type of being it is consuming. Human, animal, etc.
It is said next the eagle governs all living things and it does not hear prayers or grant favors. This I believe in this eagle our "god".

I answer from my seeing. From the Eagle vision. From what I have studied for over 30 years. The foreign installation is a inorganic being that can reside in humans and have been on our planet for longer than the human race. Our awareness is us. A tree, bug, deer have awareness and are also food for the Eagle. The Eagle hovers over the Earth. All living things go to it from after their death. The Eagle and our Earth are connected. The Eagle doesn't rule infinity, it rules Earth. When a seer sees the eagle he/she sees this. Are there other Eagles? Other worlds they feed on? Who knows?
Its purpose is to feed on our awareness. Does it create us? I do not believe so. I see it as a guardian, a aware gate if you will. There is a rule though. We can get pass it and escape into space/infinity if we can give it what it wants. Beyond it is freedom.
Power is impersonal but it aligns with living beings. It gives us that centimeter of chance. Power is inorganic and comes as close to a god description as we can get. I call this power the nagaul for it is the unknowable, it gives a link to living beings, certain human beings, ones who who are aware of it in some shape or fashion.
SO the Eagle is death. The flyer is a inorganic. Power is a spirit. What creates us? Mother Earth. She should never be forgotten.

Explaining The Eagle Vision. Written By Castaneda with notes by me years ago.

-This paragraph says that 'the power that governs the destinies'....this would mean that it is like a god and that it decides what all living beings will do. Also that it stands erect and that its height expands into the galaxy or infinity. Looking at this would suggest that it is a god that is part of everything.

- Here it is then said that this godlike power that is black and stands like a eagle has white on its body and 'talons". This does suggest that IT is a eagle and next it makes a wind that creates darkness? And next a eye is seen. This now suggests a creature that is very large and animal like that lives in darkness. It has an eye and talons and wings.

- Hmmm..lays them flat? This creature consumes the dead from the earth. They appear as 'flames'. This now appears to be a very busy hungry eagle. Remember though that the seers who relay this vision are ancient indian naguals. They see the world and the eagle beings with primitive eyes.
"The Eagle, that power that governs the destinies of all living things, reflects equally and at once all those living things. There is no way, therefore, for man to pray to the Eagle, to ask favors, to hope for grace. The human part of the whole is too insignificant to move the whole."
-Next they say that this creature is not a god that you can pray to.
"It is only from the Eagle's actions that a seer can tell what it wants. The Eagle, although it is not moved by the circumstances of any living thing, has granted a gift to each of those beings. In it's own way and right, any one of them, if it so desires, has the power to keep the flame of awareness, the power to disobey the summons to die and be consumed. Every living thing has been granted the power, if it so desires, to seek an opening to freedom and to go through it. It is evident to the seer who sees the opening, and to the creatures that go through it, that the Eagle has granted the gift in order to perpetuate awareness."
-Here is the key paragraph. Even after death a 'flame' can escape the eating of the eagle by finding a 'opening' and go through it and it even says that many flames do.
"For the purpose of guiding living things to that opening, the Eagle created the nagual. The Nagual is a double being to whom the rule has been revealed. Whether it be in the form of a human being, an animal, a plant, or anything else that lives, the Nagual by virtue of its doubleness is drawn to seek that hidden passageway."
-This opening is hidden and that there are 'naguals' that can find it and they can be anything that lives. Thus nagual plants, animals, etc. Pay heed to this for all those who seek to define "naguals" as men and only men.
Also that the double is responsible for finding this secret opening to escape permanent death.
"The Nagual comes in pairs, male and female. A double man and a double woman become the Nagual only after the rule has been told to each of them, and each of them has understood it and accepted it in full. To the eye of the seer, a Nagual man or Nagual woman appears as a luminous egg with four compartments. Unlike the average human being who has two sides only, a left and a right, the Nagual has a left side divided into two"
-This explains more on the nagual man and woman.
"The Eagle created the first nagual man and nagual woman as seers and immediately put them in the world to see. It provided them with four female warriors who were stalkers, three male warriors and one male courier, whom they were to nourish, enhance and lead to freedom."
-Again the Eagle is defined as a godlike power that created the first man and woman on earth and they were Naguals.
These next passages define the Naguals Party:
"The four female warriors are called the four directions, the four corners of a square, the four moods, the four winds, the four different female personalities that exist in the human race.
The first is the east. She is called order. She is optimistic, light-hearted, smooth, persistent like a steady breeze.
The second is the north. She is called strength. She is resourceful, blunt, direct, tenacious like a hard wind.
The third is the west. She is called feeling. She is introspective, remorseful, cunning, sly, like a cold gust of wind.
The fourth is the south. She is called growth. She is nurturing, loud, shy, warm, like a hot wind.
The three male warriors and the courier are representative of the four types of male activity and temperament.
The first type is the knowledgeable man, the noble, dependable, serene man, fully dedicated to his task, whatever it may be.
The second type is the man of action, highly volatile, a great humorous fickle companion.
The third type is the organizer behind the scenes, the mysterious, unknowable man. Nothing can be said about him, because he allows nothing about himself to slip out.
The courier is the fourth type. He is the assistant, a taciturn, somber man who does very well if properly directed but who cannot stand on his own.
In order to make things easier, the Eagle showed the Nagual man and the Nagual woman that each of these types among men and women of the earth has specific features in its luminous body.
The scholar has a sort of shallow dent, a bright depression at his solar plexus. In some men it appears as a pool of intense luminosity, sometimes smooth and shiny like a mirror without a reflection.
The man of action has some fibers emanating from the area of the will.
The number of fibers varies from one to five, their size ranging from a mere string to a thick, whip like tentacle up to eight feet long. Some have as many of three of these fiber s developed into tentacles.
The man behind the scenes is recognized not by a feature but by his ability to create, quite involuntarily, a burst of power that effectively blocks the attention of seers. When in the presence of this type of man, seers find themselves immersed in extraneous detail rather than seeing.
The assistant has no obvious configuration. To seers he appears as a clear glow in a flawless shell of luminosity.
In the female realm, the east is recognized by the almost imperceptible blotches in her luminosity, something like small areas of discoloration.
The north has an overall radiation; she exudes a reddish glow, almost like heat.
The west has a tenuous film enveloping her, a film which makes her appear darker than the others.
The south has an intermittent glow; she shines for a moment and then gets dull, only to shine again.
The Nagual man and the Nagual woman have two different movements in their luminous bodies. Their right sides wave, while their left sides whorl.
In terms of personality, the Nagual man is supportive, steady, unchangeable. The Nagual woman is a being at war and yet relaxed, ever aware but without strain. Both of them reflect the four types of their sex, as four ways of behaving."
-More descriptions of the first people on earth!
The first command that the eagle gave the Nagual man and Nagual woman was to find, on their own, another set of four female warriors, four directions, who were the exact replicas of the stalkers but who were dreamers.
"Dreamers appear to the seer as having an apron of hairlike fibers at their midsections. Stalkers have a similar apronlike feature, but instead of fibers, the apron consists of countless small, round protuberances."
-Here is another key passage. It actually describes differences between people.
The eight female warriors are divided into two bands, which are called the right and left planets. The right planet is made up of four stalkers, the left of four dreamers. The warriors of each planet were taught by the Eagle the rule of their specific task: stalkers were taught stalking, dreamers were taught dreaming.
The two female warriors of each direction live together. They are so alike that they mirror each other, and only through impeccability can they find solace and challenge in each other's reflection.
The only time when the four dreamers or four stalkers get together is when they have to accomplish a strenuous task; but only under special circumstances should the four of them join hands, for their touch fuses them into one being and should be used only in cases of dire need, or at the moment of leaving this world.
The two female warriors of each direction are attached to one of the males, in any combination that is necessary. Thus they make a set of four households, which are capable of incorporating as many warriors as needed.
The male warriors and the courier can also form an independent unit of four men, or each can function as a solitary being, as dictated by necessity.
Next the Nagual and his party were commanded to find three more couriers. These could be all males or all females or a mixed set, but the male couriers had to be of the fourth type of man, the assistant, and the females had to be from the south.
In order to make sure that the first Nagual man would lead his party to freedom and not deviate from that path or become corrupted, the Eagle took the Nagual woman to the other world to serve as a beacon, guiding the party to the opening.
"The Nagual and his warriors were then commanded to forget. They were plunged into darkness and were given new tasks: the task of remembering themselves, and the task of remembering the Eagle."
-This is still when the people of earth were new. These rules were for the first of our race.
The command to forget was so great that everyone was separated. They did not remember who they were. The Eagle intended that if they were capable of remembering themselves again, they would find the totality of themselves. Only then would they have the strength and forbearance necessary to seek and face their definitive journey.
Their last task, after they had regained the totality of themselves, was to get a new pair of double beings and transform them into a new Nagual man and a new Nagual woman by virtue of revealing the rule to them. And just as the first Nagual man and Nagual woman had been provided with a minimal party, they had to supply the new pair of Naguals with four female warriors who were stalkers, three male warriors, and one male courier.
When the first Nagual and his party were ready to go through the passageway, the first Nagual woman was waiting to guide them. They were ordered then to take the new Nagual woman with them to the other world to serve as a beacon for her people, leaving the new Nagual man in the world to complete the cycle.
While in the world, the minimum number under a Nagual's leadership is sixteen: eight female warriors, four male warriors, counting the Nagual, and four couriers. At the moment of leaving the world, when the new Nagual woman is with them, the Nagual's number is seventeen.
If his personal power permits him to have more warriors, then more must be added in multiples of four.

Being involved with the rule may be described as living a myth.
...the rule was endless and covered every facet of a warrior's behavior.
"...the rule was not a tale, and... to cross over to freedom did not mean eternal life as eternity is commonly understood- that is, as living forever. What the rule stated was that one could keep the awareness which is ordinarily relinquished at the moment of dying."
-Yes, even though there is a opening for freedom it is understood that one can and will still perish out there past the guardian that is called the eagle.
"...at the moment of crossing, one enters into the third attention, and the body in its entirety is kindled with knowledge. Every cell at once becomes aware of itself and also aware of the totality of the body... the crux of a warrior's struggle was not so much to realize that the crossing over stated in the rule meant crossing to the third attention, but rather to conceive that there exists such an awareness at all."

06/16/06 11:03:06-A Eagle Dream I posted.
A dream I had last night was one about the Eagle. I fell asleep and went through a series of shadows. It became very dark and I remember not being able to see nothing but blackness.
I turned and glazed in every directions and saw nothing then I looked up and saw a far away light high above me.
I, without intent started to float towards this light and as I grew nearer, I was able to see movement and flickers in that light. Then I saw the Eagle. It was beneath me and around me.
It was so large that I seemed to fall over glazing at it.
There was two lights I saw coming from its head. One was from its mouth that was opening and closing. The other light was from its eye. It looked at me but I was in awe and unafaid. Somehow I knew that I had been here before.
There was a thought that it was communicating with me and then I knew that it remembered me. I was told before to go back and now I was being told again. Part of me wanted desperately to go towards the eagle. It seemed then like a frozen entity in that it couldn't move. It was too big.
I tried to form an intent of thought towards it but the darkness swallowed me and I eventually awoke. I pondered the dream and the lost chance to once again challenge the eagle. There must be more to do I thought and fell back into a deep sleep.

I am not sure if it is appropriate to respond to these threads since no one else has yet....but I am compelled to ask questions that cause a sense of "doubt" in me. I do not doubt the rule or the Eagle, I ponder intentions and purpose. I am sure this is the right place to get unbiased and impeccable feedback to my questions.
The Eagle grants the possibility of keeping awareness and obtaining freedom. This gift is only used by a few indivivudals, while the rest of humanity floats into the beak. But the few who are able to obtian the freedom are actaully ensuring awareness is perpetuated, thus cultivating future food for the Eagle. Are we merely tools who ensure the eagle has generations of awareness to feed upon?
Is the FI an agent of the Eagle, as it is older then humanity. The FI is in essence harvesting awareness for the Eagle by keeping most of humanity in the "dark" and unable to reach freedom.
The Nagual man and woman are tools to ensure awareness is always avaialble.
What is permanent death? How do we know there is not another ap that permanent death encompasses. What if we are unable to see this shift of the ap until there is permanent death? Permanent death does proivde awareness as food for the Eagle but it does not cultivate future awareness. Is the warrior party lead to believe that permanent death is lesss favorable then keeping awareness? Is the warrior party lead to believe this in order to continue this cycle? If everyone and everything died without some keeping awareness, would the awareness food source be depleted?
These are my struggles......but I know the rule is true and the Eagle exists, and even what my role may be.......

Hard questions Dan but its a hard world in the end. The Rule was created by the Eagle. The warriors like us are given the chance if we want it. Really want it. There is a reason for it and not apparent until the end or beginning, whatever it becomes. Those who go into the eagle are believed to be eaten thus they no longer exist. But do we know this to be absolute? No. There might be a heaven or hell behind inside that beak for it could be a portal. So should we buck the system and just follow everyone else? I say no. If I can do it I will not go there. In my heart, I know this is right. In your heart you must know what is right for you. The rule is that power accessed through the nagual allows a warrior or warrior party a chance to go pass this eagle. The eagle is not the nagual. The eagle is of the earth. There maybe other eagles where there is life on other planets. Once you have the eagle vision you see for yourself or at least I did (several times). All of us would like to think when we die we go to some nice place where our loved ones, relatives, pets go after death and that we live forever happy and safe. Not going to ever happen. That doesn't exist. It even comes from the FI who wants to comfort you so you never seek freedom. The warrior party can do it, and if it can be done then I'm going to do it because????? I can (its possible). Nagual beings exist in the world. They are key to keeping the magical spirit of man alive. We are so much more than ever thought possible and the only limitations are ourselves.

I felt very self indulgent when I thought about my reaction. However, it was needed, I guess. The concepts of heaven and being with family and pets and such......never crossed my mind. I too would rather keep my awareness...because it is the plan, for me. Thank you for this place of no pity...and allowing my self indulgence (within limitation).

Last night I dreamed I had this conversation with you Dan. I showed you the human fireflies circling the light before finally disappearing. You were sad but nodded that you understood, I was sad too because all those beings were going away. I said to you: When a being dies its spirt comes out of it, it is drawn up, it is pulled by the emanations of the eagle awareness. The being goes to it for its senses warmth and there seems no other choice, the closer it gets to the eagle's light the better it feels. There is no pain only the feeling of being swept away then through the beak/portal it goes after being drawn out and straightened to fit. When I awoke this morning, I was sad but remembered this with you.

When I woke this morning, I felt better about my self indulgence. What I remember in my dream is trying to connect with members of Ravenfield. The first thing I thought when I woke up, was why do I not ever remember NLW in my dreaming. I do feel that you were with me last night, as when I thought it odd that I did not dream of you directly, I knew we were connected.

Hah dan. NLW is hard. His energy does not imprint readily on memory, I've noticed. Not dream memory. Like a ninja samurai.�Its not you. lol. The meaning and energy of it stays well enough however
this is not exactly on topic, well mor on topic for the eagle. I mentioned this game somewhere in context of college, as a tonal bending, made a ramble disjointed post somewhere in my thread on it. for some reason i was reminded of it again in response to your question. After the first Dialoguge section is over, skip to 7:10 past the boring game combat. If i recall, in the game, the eternal ones need for sentience is figured out a way to satisfy and remain free. Again im drawn to dreams last night, and fabs crystal on the bus. However, this may be� distraction, more a concept for after one actually obtains freedom, not before. Which we have not done yet.

I posted this in RF but I wanted Kim to know of this dream. I helped a spirit escape the Eagle's grasp last night. There was a blond woman who was having a hard time letting go of the tonal and she was trying to stay connected to her friends and family but was frustrated when she could not. I helped her realize she was dead and that she could escape having her awareness eaten by the Eagle. I saw her fly past the Eagle into the 3rd attention. When I woke up, I hoped it was the Tenant. I want to help the Tenant have freedom like we will have.....I have sadness for her and I think this is why I had the dream.

I had an interesting day yesterday. I went to a friend's house for a small party. This is an old friend that I recently reconnected with. He has read some CC and thinks along the same lines as me for the most part. I began to speak to him about the gates of dreaming and I asked if he recorded his dreams. He did not, but there was a woman there that I never met before. She was blond (as in the dream I posted in this thread 2 days ago. She was very curious about the dreaming. I spoke with her for a long time about dreaming, intent, self importance, the internal dialogue, and spirit. She was highly receptive and I had a surge of clarity in my ability to explain and help her understand. It gave me a sense of knowing that I can help others in the tonal be directed towards spirit and help them possibly reach freedom. I feel the need to help others see, but I never could explain myself clearly in the past. It was a good feeling to be clear with my intent to help her. I know she was the woman in my dream.

Wow, brother Dan, I just today saw your dreaming post, I do not know how I missed it. So know when I was ranting to PS that I did not know of this dream. Your dream sounded familar to me in that the blond woman was an old friend and it was making it hard to choose to leave on the plane that was about to take off. It is really incredible that you ran into this woman, and she was from your dream. Did she mention if she struggles with her family and friends? Spirit used you well, you could have changed her course.
This morning, after getting my kids off to school and doing some work, I had a sinus headache, so I laid down on my bed and took a morning nap, just as I was falling asleep, I saw a wolf face, then I wondered who that was, it was or I knew it was you. Do you have facial hair, like a goatee? This must have been about the time you posted the pic of the wolf pack in Mastery of Awareness.

When I read the post you made about the blond, I saw the connection. Although this woman and I spoke about a lot, I only remember helping her keep her awareness. The specifics of our conversation has escaped me. I did know that I wanted you to know of this dream.
I recently shaved my facial hair.....but I know our doubles do not always look like us.
To change the topic slightly....I have been seeing spirits around people lately. I feel like I can see who has died and is important to those I see. I will be in a restaurant and look at people randomly, when I know who has died and who they are still holding on to.
