Jesus said that he kindled a fire on the earth. John said that he (Jesus) would baptise with fire. We are not always conscious of what is happening or the cause effect of our connection to the process is not always evident. This is not because it is not happening but because we are not always aware. We get more aware when we meditate or fast or merely speak about these things because our minds are aimed at spiritual, rather than physical things of the world.
Some of the effects are hypersensitivity. You mentioneed the sense of smell being annoying. For me hearing can be. If you go back to Carlos' description of his stopping the dialog, many times he mentions the sounds of the chapparal becoming more evident.
Another very annoying thing for me and probably the most annoying is the digestion problems I have experienced. A hyper active and hypersensitive digestive system is mentioned, but not gone into much. It is as if my entire digestive track has been sunburned.
Have you ever dragged your nails across your arm after it's been burned in the sun? That is what it is like for me after eating anything when that symtom is prevalent. You can feel each piece of food all the way through.
Another thing that I have experienced and that my teacher had pointed out is that the tongue actually turns bright red. The white coating that is always there even after brushing and cleaning your tongue is completely gone. It actually looks as if you had just eaten red candy. My tongue has actually felt at times as if I had burned my mouth with hot food. My teacher actually got burn blisters once.
Those digestive symtoms have subsided for me. That is why I am able to meditate again. Some of these symtoms can be literally crippling but I have found that if you back off when it gets to be too much you can come at it later.
This goes for both the physical and spiritual effects. It takes time because our body and mind has to change to accomodate the new Spirit.


Mt 9:17
Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
It is a gradual process if it is to be a safe process.
The crickets you hear can grow to become the sound of standing in the middle of a forest fire or hovering in deafening thunder. I have experienced this.
The vibrations you feel can become acid in your very cells and veins and grow to be an ocean of liquid lightening that you are spead out in and "one with"... I have experienced this also.
Both the body and the mind must be changed in order to survive this power. The change must come gradually.
My teacher used to say that to have an experience one it is just an experience. to have it twice, you have mastered it.
Read Gopi Krishna's book Kundalini, the Evolutionary Energy in Man. It gives a good account and description of someone who experienced the full experience of Cosmic Consciousness or Christ Consciousness. Unfortunately he never mastered it but twice touched with that force and almost died twice.
My teacher, however did master it and used it in many miracle healings. His method was to touch on these things and back off. To open up to it and close down.
He said to touch with these higher things was worth all the effort.
The spiritual experiences are what it is all about. The body is a drag, but we are stuck with it.
We cannot understand either the bible or the teachings of Don Juan without having some kind of spiritual experiences. As we have those experiences the words begin to make sense.
I would say that the smallest Spiritual experience is worth the effort of a lifetime. It amazes me how few have lived without any kind of Spiritual experience at all. What is the point of that kind of life?
We are living in a world in which we are blind, deaf and stupid. We have been shown how to see, hear and become aware. I intend to take full advantage of it.  
I have been given tastes along the way and those tastes are a promise of a full meal.

But their is another step. What do we do after an awareness of Grace?
I am beginning to see that it is that we are to come to a full realisation of what it means to be Sons of God.
Here we are beginning to move from the third level of Allegory, into the forth level of God actually speaking to us. This does not mean you forget either the Allegory or the Grace.
You mentioned courage. I (and a small group) were basically thrown or driven out of a church many years ago for speaking of Grace as the way to salvation rather than the law. That church was our lives. I had attended for 14 years and learned much there of "deeper" things.
But we were certain, and still are, that we were led by the Spirit to say the things we said and to finally leave. We were astounded at the amount of signs, synchronicities and Scripture we were surrounded by as we made our case and finally left. It took no courage. It was amazing to watch.
Sorry for the times as you had just mentioned above. It is at these times when Christianity would rathe be painted with one broad brush. Unfortunately, there is a spiritual jealousy that arises when one perceives the brethren has been  given spiritual gifts.  
I am beginning to see things a bit deeper yet, recently. My question has been how much do I share?
My answer came this morning while reading the Gospel of Thomas.
33) Jesus said, "Preach from your housetops that which you will
hear in your ear {(and) in the other ear}. For no one lights a
lamp and puts it under a bushel, nor does he put it in a hidden
place, but rather he sets it on a lampstand so that everyone who
enters and leaves will see its light."
In the commentary it was pointed out that in the ear implies hidden knowledge. I had missed this. It is true, and , in fact that is one of the meanings of the word Qabalah. From mouth to ear.
Also what I missed was that it is Jesus who lights the lamps. We are the lamps. So, what we learn from him secretly we are to share openly.
This is how it works. The Spirit which knows better than us what we need, puts a question in our ear.
The answer jumps out at us from Scripture or the world around us or both and we get confirmation of that which we needed to know. Even if we didn't know we needed it or were too stupid to ask the question.
We are one in the Spirit. We are one in the Lord.. I just wrote these same thoughts in this forum the other day. The Spirit helps everyone to be in unison.

The three witnesses in earth the Spirit, the Water and the Blood.
Just as Jesus, when he was here in this world, got confirmation of his sonship by the witness of the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost, the three that bear record from heaven, so do we by the three that bear witness on earth.
5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
1jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1jo 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
What do we care what people think when we are hearing from God.
This is when death is orthodoxy! Discerning what is man made tradition and what  comes from  Spirit and truth.
 1jo 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
1jo 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
1jo 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
1jo 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
The more we pay attention, the more these things happen. When leaving my old church we got so many reaffirmations that we began to refer to it as the "Flood."
I believe that is actually what it was/is. Noah's ark is an allegory for the flood of the baptism of water, which is one of three aspects of the One Baptism.
It says the fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were opened. In another place it says,
Mal 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Am I going back under the law??? No the tithe, 1/10 is that which returns to God. That is US. Not a monetary obligation

What  great revelation! Remember Melchizedek! He offered wine and bread. Melchizedek was Jesus in past future time.  (This was a question I had for maybe more than 8 or 9 years.) 
Anyway thanks for the reply. I will write what I am finding on the three aspects of Baptism soon. I have to get ready for work now.

The left side of the face or head is the area of the body that corresponds with the Sphere of Chokmah, Wisdom, the active or power side of the Tree of life. The male principle. It is at the head of the pillar of mercy. It is where the Kundalini energy comes from. It is on the right side of the Macrocosmic Tree but taken microcosmically in man we back into it. So the force side would be the left side of the head or face Wisdom. The right side of the head or face is Understanding.

Maybe it is nothing more than thinking and talking about the subject which causes it to manifest once you have touched upon it. Like I said all you have to do is have spiritual conversations with friends and then you notice that sound. We used to refer to it as vibrations going up when we would get together. It was almost a given.
But putting that together with something my teacher always said, "To recall a spiritual experience, all you have to do is remember the feeling." He also said when asked if he had ever visited Gopi Krishna that he never had and would not because it would kill Gopi. He would experience that vibration again and it would send him right back into that which he never learned to control.
In his book Gopi Krishna mentioned the "bath." It was a phenomena that would affect people in the area of the person going through Kundalini. "Holy" men who came to help Gopi left his house too ill to remain there.

I kind of got off that subject and will get back on it soon, I hope. I still haven't figured it all out but I see a lot of connections. There are "overlaps which has made it confusing over the years. But here is a chart that you can think about for now. I will get back to it I promise.


There is really a lot there. The first Sephira Kether is actually the first "path" it is one. The path from Kether to Tipareth is the 13th path.
Put them together and it's 14.
 


Mt 1:17
So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
From belief in the invisible Abraham, to Christ Consciousness is 3x14 or 42. This is all over in the bible. A time, times and half a time. 3 1/2 years, 42 months etc., etc., All having to do with Revelation or the becoming aware of the invisible in it's many aspects.
The way I came up with this was the realisation that the spiritual experience (Daath= knowledge) of one level is the foundation (Yesod= Foundation) of the next level. So by overlapping three trees placing Daath over Yesod I ended up with the diagram.
Abraham left Ur of the Chaldees (Light of the Magicians) to seek a land "He knew not."
Jesus said that a person who does not leave Father, Mother, sister, Brother is not worthy of me.
Don Juan told Carlos to leave everything he knew.
In Tales of Power DJ refers to people we are surrounded by as "Black Magicians"
Paul says to the Galatians "Who has bewitched you..." etc.
That is the beginning of our spiritual journey. To see that everyone we are surrounded by has been affecting our thinking since the day we are born.
Meditate on it for a while. There are many connections here that I haven't found yet.

Neat! Bob ..... I have a basic 101Kabbalah book "Keys To The Kingdom" Jesus& The Mystic Kabbalah by Migene Gonzalez- Wippler
Inside there are references to the pathways to the "climbing"of the Tree of Life..also letters of light ,the colour scales of the Tree of Life in the 4 worlds, and the cosmic and material meaning of the letters and the Path of the Tree they represent.
 Will study this path!

Trying to connect the significance of the "dove" that appears above Jesus after he has been baptized by John. Noah also waited  on the ark for the "dove" to come back with green vegetation in its beak. Are these the same doves  at least  allegorically speaking?

Second attention can be a very negative or positive experience.We are surrounded by too many reaffirmations and knowledge of things of another description,..paranormal. This is stopping the world. It is a negative experience. Reaffirmations become constant instead of occasional. You find yourself living in two worlds at once. Very chaotic.
Passover: leaving the land of Egypt (subconscious mind, solar plexus, Yesod). Crossing the red sea is also a symbol of the water baptim. This is becoming aware there is another description of the world. The description of the world is in Yesod. Whether or not that description is an average man or a sorcerer.
Phase 2. Air, Pentecost
Then the dove (bird, air) is let loose from the ark (again the spirit of air) The second attention is reflective in nature. What we believe will come back to us. I have been through this stopping of the world more than once but it does not have to be negative if your knowledge and belief system tells you that there is something more and better to come. The dove is let loose twice and the second time it comes back with a promise (olive branch) of the third phase of baptism. ((The olive branch will later grow olives that will be crushed and the oil will be put into lamps and burned)) This is the Promises in the bible starting with the sign of the bow in the cloud (again the idea of one thing that has phases that bleed on into another) and the promise that God will not desroy us with water ever again.
This is Penecost. It may seem like Pentecost is fire because of the Tongues of flames, but that is a hint of the third aspect or phase to come.
It is the sound of the "rushing and mighty wind" that happens at Pentecost that is the sign of the phase and the three spring Festivals are Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles in that order.
Jesus goes into the water and comes up and the sign of the dove (air) is given and immediately he goes into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. A second attention experience (air). A reference to "stones speaking" is talked about in his conversation with the devil. This shows Jesus relying on his belief system and the promises and prophecies of how he fits into the picture to guard him from the lies of the devil.
The first thing Jesus does coming out of the wilderness is to go to the synagog and "find himself in scripture."

We do this also. It is not that we do it. It happens to us. We find ourselves in scripture and realise the book was written not only to us, but for us and also about us. Here, the second attention experiences have meaning within the context of the biblical journey from the "Fall" to becoming children if Israel to becoming children of God, then Sons of God, then "one with God"
I saw an angel. I later saw that the story of when it "wounded him in his thigh," it was a parallel in my life. I had stopped meditation because I couldn't stop the pain in my thigh whenever I tried to meditate. This is the first time I saw myself in scripture. I was doubtful, but it seemed to fit. This is the first time Jacob's name changed to Israel (Favor with God)
Years later while in waking consciousness I had the coat of many colors fall on me. This is also Jacob's Ladder which was promised to his seed (Joseph, Jesus) after him. This was the second time Jacob's name was changed to Israel (Favor with God)
Favor or Grace is the influx from above the abyss and comes down from Chokmah, Wisdom.
This same experience was promised to Nathanael the first time Jesus met him.
These are a few experiences but they are familiar stories and can be related to what I am describing here.
It took me a long time to begin to understand these experiences because there are so many connections. But these second attention experiences/visions when put into the context of Grace or Favor from God are then understood to be third attention experiences. Promises.
There were cloven tongues of fire (the Hebrew letter Yod) ascending and descending through me when the coat of many colors fell on me. Again the letter Yod comes down from the Father, Chokmah, Wisdom from above the Abyss. This is Pentecost. But the flames speak of Tabernacles.
Here the Bread offering is leavened and baked with coals.


Mt 13:33
Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened
It takes time for an understanding of these things to begin to take hold. That is because it grows inside of us in "obscurity", below the surface. Just as Jesus was called out of Egypt (the subconscious mind). Just as the leaven hid in "three measures of meal" is working invisibly within us.
Then when the stones speak (reaffirmations, sychronicities), When the leaven has done it's work, The bread is ready to be thrown into the oven.
But like Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego we are not killed because there is a forth man in the oven.
Then all of the universe is speaking of God and that we are his son's and fellow heirs with Christ.
Only this is not a description, it is Truth.
Just as Nathanael was promised the experience of Jacob's ladder so was John promised that he would be baptized with the baptism that Jesus was baptised with. Then he wrote the book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ. Who's revelation was it? John's or Jesus'.


Re 1:1
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
So just as Nathanael was promised to have the experience that Jacob/Israel had, and I later experienced it, So did John experience the revelation that Jesus had. Then he wrote about it. It is not some geopolitical thing that will happen in some undetermined far off future. It is something that happens to us because of the three phases of baptism. Not only the revealing that Christ is here, now but the revealing of who or what powers have been running this fallen world we live in. What it is that influences the people who's kingdom is "of this world."
John is "taken up" by angels to view this world from a higher perspective. Just as Noah was. Just as Carlos was from the first day he was told about reaffirmations.
The degree or extent of the experiences are just a matter of the degree or extent of description and belief.
In the Gospel of Thomas it says that ".. he is revealed in the fourteenth age." This is speaking about Jesus. So we see in the chart above the three aspects of baptism three segments of fourteen. Each reveals Christ at another level. Each level bleeds into one another as the colors of a rainbow. Or a coat of many colors. They all come from and contain the One Light. These three fourteens are the Middle pillar leading up to Kether the source at the top of the Tree.
The doves are the same. The one in Noah's ark story carries with it the olive branch which is the promise of the annointing of oil (Holy Spirit) and fire.
The one that came down on Jesus came down on the annointed one. The one who said that he had come to kindle a fire on the whole earth.

There were cloven tongues of fire (the Hebrew letter Yod) ascending and descending through me when the coat of many colors fell on me. Again the letter Yod comes down from the Father, Chokmah, Wisdom from above the Abyss. This is Pentecost. But the flames speak of Tabernacles.
Here the Bread offering is leavened and baked with coals.


Mt 13:33
Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened
It takes time for an understanding of these things to begin to take hold. That is because it grows inside of us in "obscurity", below the surface. Just as Jesus was called out of Egypt (the subconscious mind). Just as the leaven hid in "three measures of meal" is working invisibly within us.
Then when the stones speak (reaffirmations, sychronicities), When the leaven has done it's work, The bread is ready to be thrown into the oven.
But like Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego we are not killed because there is a forth man in the oven.
Then all of the universe is speaking of God and that we are his son's and fellow heirs with Christ.
Only this is not a description, it is Truth.
Just as Nathanael was promised the experience of Jacob's ladder so was John promised that he would be baptized with the baptism that Jesus was baptised with. Then he wrote the book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ. Who's revelation was it? John's or Jesus'.


Re 1:1
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to show unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
So just as Nathanael was promised to have the experience that Jacob/Israel had, and I later experienced it, So did John experience the revelation that Jesus had. Then he wrote about it. It is not some geopolitical thing that will happen in some undetermined far off future. It is something that happens to us because of the three phases of baptism. Not only the revealing that Christ is here, now but the revealing of who or what powers have been running this fallen world we live in. What it is that influences the people who's kingdom is "of this world."
John is "taken up" by angels to view this world from a higher perspective. Just as Noah was. Just as Carlos was from the first day he was told about reaffirmations.
The degree or extent of the experiences are just a matter of the degree or extent of description and belief.
In the Gospel of Thomas it says that ".. he is revealed in the fourteenth age." This is speaking about Jesus. So we see in the chart above the three aspects of baptism three segments of fourteen. Each reveals Christ at another level. Each level bleeds into one another as the colors of a rainbow. Or a coat of many colors. They all come from and contain the One Light. These three fourteens are the Middle pillar leading up to Kether the source at the top of the Tree.
The doves are the same. The one in Noah's ark story carries with it the olive branch which is the promise of the annointing of oil (Holy Spirit) and fire.
The one that came down on Jesus came down on the annointed one. The one who said that he had come to kindle a fire on the whole earth.

I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

Joseph wore the coat of many colors, this relates to the rainbow, but also to being chosen to be a disciple. There is one teacher, Jesus, and we are all his disciples. This is the "inheritance." The coat is a sign in the ancient Hebrew culture of the passing on of the inheritance. The N.T. says we are "fellow heirs" with Christ. Sons of God.
Joseph was a dreamer and an interpreter of dreams, but he said that God gave the interpretations of the dreams. God also gave the dreams.

 Elisha asked for and recieved a "double portion" of the Spirit that was on Elijah, his teacher. This also is a sign of inheritance as if there are multiple sons, the inheritance passes to the one (usually the firstborn) son to carry the inheritance as a double portion. It is always a suprise in the bible when the second born gets this birhtright and blessing.
Joseph was not the firstborn but he recieved it. He was firstborn of the second wife. Ephraim (Understanding, second born of Joseph) recieved it when by all appearances it should have gone to Manassah (Wisdom knowing without having known) the firstborn.
This is because we have to be born of the spirit to see or enter the kingdom. Born twice.

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

So, water and spirit (air) are prerequisites to seeing and entering the Kingdom. These are two baptisms. Full immersion into second attention with hints of the third attention if we hold to the Truth. We are living in two worlds at once, but where are the messages coming from?
And actually we always have been living in two worlds at once. We just don't see that until our awareness begins to open up.
It happens a little at a time and then all at once as Don Juan puts it. Stopping the world is the flood of Noah.
The first part of the Flood reflects back to us the raven (air). The second part reflects back to us the dove (air) along with with the promises of inheritance as sons of God.
Many never go past the first aspect. This is the sorcerer's world.
Elijah went past both of these and was caught up in a whirlwind and fire.
Jesus was caught up to the Father.
Paul was caught up to the third heaven.
This is our inheritance.


Joh 12:32
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
Your "technicolor dreams" may be signs of your coming to an awareness of your inheritance. Your baptism of air. Especially as you flew as a dove.

Sorry about my miss spelling of  the word "recent " for "resent".  That meaning of that dream I had -say well over 40 years ago- is now recently beginning to come into its clarity. I realize now how the baptismal theme is running through out that dream with great spiritual significance." Fellow heirs of Christ" is plated in technicolour out loud in my minds eye.  Jacob//Israel  spiritual  dream was built  upon the stone that he slept upon for a pillow. 
Bee interested in the designated dreamers of the OT especially with Jacob, Joseph, Samuel, Daniel and Nathaniel. The pouring out of the Holy Spirit spoken by the prophet Joel -is now upon this earth since Pentecost.   Acts 2: 17-18 )  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,  I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh:  and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: and on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.
I would hope these are the  all inclusive "new seers " that DJ spoke of and CC wrote of too. lol..

I had a very inspiring thing happen to me this week.
My 17 year old son called me on the phone a few days ago, very exited. He has been staying for several days with an old friend who moved away about a year and a half ago.
He told me that his friend had "changed" in the respect that he was now interested in meditation and "deeper" things because of someone he had met and was teaching him some things. My son was pleasantly suprised and exited about their conversations, and that they were talking about things we (my son and I) had always talked about, etc.
Now yesterday morning he called again and told me that he was seeing everything "differently" and that the world had changed. He was seeing light around everything that was not man made, as he put it. Trees and grass and people all had light and colors surrounding them.
He also said that he realized that he had always been seeing this but was not aware of it. (Someone else used similar words recently, on this forum describing an experience , Castor maybe?) Then he also told me that everything I had always tried to tell him was true. He is ecstatic about what he is experiencing.
The bible tells us that there is one teacher and we are all disciples. That teacher, of course, is Jesus who teaches by his Spirit. And there is a prophecy in the bible that stated we shall all be taught of God.
As earthly "teachers" or guides, the best we can hope for is to play a part in sharing our viewpoints. In doing so, hopefully, sharing those things will help to bring a person to that point where they are learning directly from the Spirit.
I haven't heard all of the details of his experience yet. Only two short phone calls.
I am looking forward to our discussions when he gets home.

Lovely words about baptism. Brings to light (light! an exquisite moment gifted to me a couple weeks ago before an extremely long out-of-body experience. I was lying in bed, in the Lion position, with the humors of a particularly liveried dream still cloying to me like a drape, infecting my mood...my clarity of presence. In that moment, I heard a voice which said simply and clearly "Baptize yourself in the moment!" Obediently, I submerged myself into silence and presence...and felt myself cleansed of all that darkness which was leading me further and further away from that union with spirit that is my passion. Awareness in presence bathed me, returning me to crystalline clarity...which lended all the energy needed to transport me to my energy body right then and there, and beautiful exquisite conscious dreams thereafter. The Power is here, y'all.....here and now! It's all we ever need, and we're literally swimming in it.



May we cut through and see...beyond the illusion of obfuscation. Tally Ho!
