Meditation
#1
Meditation is something that obviously each of us do probably every day in order to improve skills for entering higher attentions.
There are a lot of types of meditation and it is completely individual decision which one to take.
Any way, it is not bad thing to talk about them and about what we experience during meditation.
We all here maybe have questions about it, there is maybe something that we don't understand and maybe we could help each other in it.
So if anyone would like to talk about meditation, we can do that here.

I do a meditation called White Light Meditation.
It is a simple meditation that is in the beginning concentrated on seeing the light particles/shapes... on the closed eyes screen and to focusing our attention to them.
It is a meditation that is used to make a connection with an inner self, own inner spirit, and is about light because we are Luminous beings and light/energy is our essence.
This meditation is not about totally ignoring thoughts, not letting them to appear, but is more about letting thought(if appears) to enter and than letting it go without involving stress. Thoughts disappear any way when focus on light increases.
Any way, I see mostly two colors while meditating; indigo and violet and they are present in every meditation I have. These two colors in a way take me to some energy force of yellow/white light.
I see also more colors but they are not so intense and strong as these two.
Is there possibility that that two colors are the colors of my Aura/some characteristics of energy body or they are in meditation for some other purpose?
Could someone that knows about it, write something about seeing colors in meditation, in dreaming... ?
Thanks,

Excellent meditation exercise Castor!
I use one where I link my vision to my third eye and then use intent to "see" people..like DG and you..

Wolf, I also use similar meditation as an extension of the one I previous wrote about.
I concentrate on the third eye point and I focus to stay there.
Last days during meditation I saw a man above my right shoulder, above my head. He was cloaked in a white grey cloak. I think I have seen him in dreaming before and I think he is some kind of guide for me. I'll try to find him again.
And I also saw a lion gloving out an indigo light.

This is a fun thread!
The practise of meditation, seems to be quite essential for entering into other orders of reality, in a state of centeredness. I definitely like to meditate, even though it has taken me a few years to cultivate my practise to the point, where I do it on a daily basis.
I like to begin my meditation, by sitting for 10 minutes or so, and just sitting there cross-legged, returnign to the breath, allowing the mind to still, and becoming more aware of what my body is feeling. I find there's still alot of mental chatter that goes on, and often I get completely distracted, but overall I know this is definitely developing a more centered space, or seed, from which a new level of awareness can spring forth.
The other meditations I practise, are linked to the 13 Moon Calendar. These are basically designed to synchronise my being with the planetary field of consciousness, so that my own continuing consciousness may be integrated within that field, and so that others too may begin to wake up to it!
At first I was hesitant to get involved in these meditation, thinking that it was taking the concept of a calendar way too far. However, I kept on having dreams about thse meditations, showing me how valuable each was. Practising these meditations, was the one thing, that has really helped to ground my daily meditation practise. It feels very supportive to know that there are thousands of people all over the planet participating in them as well..
As an example, it might be worth going through one of the series of meditations involved. This particular one is linked to a kind of interactive journey board, known as the 7:7::7:7. This board, lays out the 28-day cycle of the 13 Moon Calendar in a physical form. I like to keep the board beside my bed, so that each mornign when I wake up, I am reminded to participate in the meditations. This affirms my wish to live in full consciousness, each and every day.
The board itself, relies on putting down a card each day of the 28-day cycle. Each day of the week in the 13 Moon Calendar is coded by one of the seven radial plasmas. Plasma represents the fourth state of matter, and is unique in that it conducts electrical energy, while retaining an overall neutral charge.
Each of our seven main chakras is linked to one of these seven types of plasma. Through the visualisation of the symbols for each plasma, and the reciting of an affirmation, we activate our chakras as receptor points for the plasmas. Each time we breath in, the plasmic energy that is received begins to activate our electro-magnetic field and aura.
On another level, the daily meditation process is linked to the reception of plasma by the planetary body, which allows the crystal core at the center of the Earth, to transform the plasmic energy which it receives from the sun, into the activation of the "Rainbow Bridge".

Through the practise of the different meditations, embedded in the 13 Moon Calendar we are participating in a telepathic experiment we call the Rainbow Bridge project, that connects ourselves with the center of the Earth, with the bipolar rainbow alternators that hold Earth's magnetic fields in place, and with all of the other planetary kin who are doing the same meditation. By establishing this world-wide telepathic Earth wave we create a matrix of communication which brings the noosphere - Earth's mental envelope - ever closer into conscious manifestation. This matrix also provides a protective field of genuinely positive thought vibrations meant to maintain Earth's resonant field in a state of harmony and peace....

I usually spend about 45 minutes each day participating in the various levels of these practises.
I also like to lie down and enter a kind of meditative state before dreaming. Last night for example, I allowed my mind to shift into a higher awareness, and called on the presence of those guides beyond, to reach in and communicate with me.
I felt a guide there, suddenly there with me, a familiar "image" imprinted on my mind for a moment. He seemed like someone I knew from long ago!
Yup. meditation in all it's forms is so very valuable! How funny it is to live in a culture, where the nature of our original mind is so infrequently investigated.

That what you do seems great Explora!
Linking with Earth and trying to make another ones to wake up. From my point of wiew it is a great intent and knowing that there are alot people that wish and do the same is magnificent.
I mostly wish the same; that this planet gets cleaned and that it's people wake up from the boredom and destruction they run into. Our Earth is also one beeing with it's conscious, as you say.
Meditation really helpes to develop that feeling of balance within our selves and with Earth and Space and to keep it.
All the best to you,

There is a man in my town. He is powerfull and unique.
He thought me how to meditate and I have been practicing his meditation for a long time now.
There are several degrees of his meditation. He told us, that were attending his classes, to contact him when some of us feels ready to go further.
We asked him, how will we know that we are ready, and he said that we'll simply know.
I have already written before, at this forum (but is missing now) about getting omen and confirmation to visit him because I felt ready, but my racional part crushed me and I didn't go.
Now, my meditation is getting deaper and deaper and I'm waithing for a sign. One thought crossed my mind telling me to prolonge meditation duration. I did it and heared a voice inside meditation that was telling me to keep like that for 9 months and then to contact.
I knew that it was my med. teacher telling me.
This time I decided to listen to that voice, so in few months I'll contact him.
Do you think I made a right decission?

All the best,

That is a good question ZitterSmile
Am I afraid of him? Yes, in a way I'm afraid of his sharp look, and am afraid of going to visit him when I feel like he is calling me.
What to say to him? ''Hello, you called me''. What if he says ''I didn't, you're silly...''
...Well, don't listen to me, it's my rationality again...
I'll visit him in few months, just as my inner voice told meSmile

Something more,
These days I'm having troubles to meditate without beeing interrupted by my self.
I feel like beeing attacked by an enormous quantity of thoughts. I start meditating, relax, and then I get overwhealmed by tones of thoughts, but that thoughts dosn't seem like mine, they seem to come from the deep, from far away. They do not affect my calmness, but they take my focus off.
How to deal them?
I'm trying to stop them, but they appear again and again...

Go to the forest. Sit and meditate with eyes open. Examine everything you see. Check details. Listen very closely. Sight will overcome thought. Merge with nature. When you feel like it, lie back and close your eyes. Meditate. For the Standing Mother,

These last few weeks I was terribly busy and I did meditate regularly, but noticed how hard it is to get silent when your life is momentally deep in everyday's reality.
How to make a balance? How to work, study...entire days with no rest, and keep a balance with inner silence, and not to get destructed?
Maybe you have some advice, experience?

Peronsally and my yoga teacher friend agrees that meditation without intensive yogic preparation is stale anyway.
I have been to a Buddhist monastery full of devout meditators and I senses and felt and saw dis-ease everywhere.
So I say try practicing some kundalini yoga which is a tantric yoga so strengthens your spiritual powers for every day busy life.

Thanks Herba,
I'll have to try something out. I do train allot, and I'm all but a static person, but I could try to fit some yoga in my training.
Is it necessary to have a course, to have a teacher or I can find some manuals and do it my own, because I'm short with time and?
Thanks,

Yea. I recomend any books from the 3ho organization(www.3ho.com). One book used to be online for free then they had server problems and never put it back up.
Still they added some new stuff on the web page to try and the books can be ordered from bookstores possibly libraries but less likely as kundalini yoga is not in the mainstream.

At night, before going to bed I regularly meditate. I do Kriya and then I meditate and stay in silence for about half an hour.
Since few months ago I have started to hear that buzzing sound I wrote already about. It starts to buzz out of a silence. It is coming with silence.
It takes me over and it gets to my ears, it grows and grows and in one moment I feel like being in the forest in the middle of the summer. I don't hear it often at daytime, but whenever I concentrate good at silence it is there.
What is that sound? I feel like it will transport me trough certain barrier when the time comes.
Do you here something similar?

Castor,
That sound is known by several names. In nadam yoga, the yoga of sound, it is called "PASHYANTL". Modern sound researchers call it the "sound current". Allen Ginsberg, a famous spiritual teacher, says that it is the sound of the Universal OM vibtating through all existence.
It is so cool that you are using it. I use it every time I meditate. According to the teachings, the sound contains all knowledge, and as you listen to it you receive the teachings of the Universe.
The sound can also become light. It can turn into visual images. This has happened for me and it is amazing!
As I listen to the sound I totally relax and let my posture keep me alert. I allow myself to enter sleep while sitting up. The dream images come and I can enter into dreaming while still conscious.

Dreamster,
Thanks!
I didn't know what it was, but I am hearing it more and more often. It is much easier to hear it in the evening when all is asleep, then in the day time when all is active, like cars, people yelling..In the evening, in the moments of silence it is easier to border it
I can't believe that you meditate with it too. I didn't know what it was, but it came to me and I accepted it as something that is. While meditating I sink into it, it gets stronger and stronger and it does turn into light! I feel like being shifted.
About dreaming from awaken state, It happened to me too. It follows the sound and detachment that you begin to feel when being truly relaxed and inside silence.
Many blessings,
Castor

This sound you describe could have many meanings. Yet as you say, it gives you power and thus should be developed and you should let it take you.

Wolf,
What could be the other meanings of this sound?
I started to hear it almost all the time. When ever I concentrate or relax I hear it, even now.

Dreamster,
can you describe how does it sound for you?
For me it begins like a forest in the summer night. It starts like that, like buzzing of the towsands night bugs.
More I get into it, more united the sound gets and in the same time it gets various colors, components, there are other sounds in it, like a messages in it, but they all together form one melody, they all are part of same unity, part of that sound. I am the part of the same unity, all is the part of it.
When I hear it and dive into it, if my eyes are opened all collapses, the chair is still a chair, but not in the same shape any more, there is the light shining out of everything and I can see trough that chair, trough objects, and then all collapses. All is energy, light.
All vibrates, air vibrates, objects vibrate, that sound vibrate and merges with all, surrounding, me.
In the moments like that I see the contours of my bubble and it also vibrates..
I don't know how to express it, but that should roughly be it.

Castor,
In Nadam Yoga, the yoga of sound, the buzzing is known as Pashyanti. It is the sound of the Universal Om.
When I listen to the sound I feel like I am downloading Universal Knowledge. Sometimes the sound turns into images.
Sometimes it turns into a morse code type pattern. I can hear it any time that I listen for it. I hear it right now.
