Private Dream Subforum - Ravenfield - and how to apply to it
#1
Hello all lovers of dreams and dreaming Smile

Here we are in tapatalk and in need of a new thread about how to apply to Ravenfield, our private dream subforum. And while I am at it I am gonna introduce this hidden place to the general public of our site.

The name of the subforum - Ravenfield - came from nowhere other than a dream Smile. LoneWolf, the founder of this site, told us about a dream he had long ago where "the members of this forum met in a huge grassy field and began dancing and laughing. The members began to float up into the air and then turned into ravens and flew in a spiral towards the sun."

The place has been around for many years and today it is, at least to me, the heart of this website. Most of you regulars know about Ravenfield and some of you were part of it for a little while in the past (and ofc some of you are part of Ravenfield right now). But to those who are new, I am going to introduce what it is about.

Ravenfield is a private section of this forum that is focused on dreaming. All members of Ravenfield keep a regular dream journal. Each month there are a few days/nights during which we do a series of shared dreaming intents. We explore things together and share our experiences, findings and theories. That is it in a nutshell Smile

Since it is private, in order to be a part of it one needs to apply to be a member. If you want to apply we ask that you answer a few questions put into 12 simple points. You can post the answer to the questions here into this thread or you can pm them to me or Julio Juliopolis. If you are friends with another RF member you are certainly welcome to contact them about applying to RF and let them handle the process, if they agree to do so. After you send back answers to these questions, along with anything else you wish us to know, your words will be relayed to Ravenfield. Once posted into Ravenfield, members can read it and get a feel for whoever is applying. It takes a few days for us to consider your application and then you will be contacted again or directly accepted into Ravenfield.
We too have answered these questions and our answers are posted in Ravenfield (which means that you can read them once you are accepted).

Here are the 12 questions:

1. How often do you dream? And how often do you still remember your dreams after waking up? Do you still remember the dreams at the end of the day?
2. Do you keep a dream journal at the moment? Are you able to keep an online dream journal in Ravenfield? And how often are you willing/able to write down your dreams in Ravenfield?
3. What is your drive for mastering dreaming?
4. What do you see as the purpose of dreaming?
5. How and in what way have you worked with and made use of dreaming in your life?
6. What dream are you currently intending?
7. What do you expect/seek of/from Ravenfield? What are your reasons for wanting to join Ravenfield? Why write dreams down and share them with others? Why dream with others or attempt to Dream with others?
8. Have you been a part of a dream group before? How did that go?
9. Do you or have you posted regularly on this site under another nickname?
10. Are you able and willing to write in a focused and coherent way (without running your thoughts here and there and all over the place)? Do you enjoy rereading your own posts?
11. What is your favorite color?
12. What is one of your favorite dreams? (Please tell us one of your favorite dreams)

These questions serve the purpose of introducing you and your dreaming to us. We do not discriminate against beginners (though it is obvious you have to dream and remember a bit in order to share your dreaming with others), most important to us is that members are focused on dreaming, that they have a zeal and enthusiasm and are not afraid or lazy to make an effort to better their dreaming and share it with us. As such, there are no perfect answers to aim for when answering the 12 questions, we are a colorful mix in RF and our answers differ too.

Keep in mind that (unless we know them) we almost never accept members who have not shared anything and not taken part in discussions on this site previous to applying into RF. Also, new members are expected to start participating right away, during the first few days after admittance (so it is better if you do not apply before a vacation). Active participation is required (what is required is some form of regular writing of personal dream recall).

Ravenfield is a safe environment for discussion and sharing, no enmity is supported or present for that matter. The aim is to keep the place in a setting of no drama, no nonsense, no 'stalking' of other people and the like. The reason is to focus on stuff that matters - dreaming, sharing, learning, growing Smile.

I hope this served as a satisfactory introduction, but if anyone has questions concerning Ravenfield, just ask Smile.

Hi, Watergaze! I was a part of tbe private dreaming group years ago and have been to Ravenfield and before that, the Thunderbird Lodge. I dedicated much time to the dreaming group and have had lucid dreaming experiences with NLW and others who may still be here in this forum. I was wondering if you have had any applicants since your post.

Bump.

I, too, wonder if there have been any applicants. Man, I've been away for so long from RF. I almost wonder about all the spiritual and insightful exchanges members must be having. I bet it's a goldmine of information and growth. How spectacular an experience it was. If I weren't so busy with watching Netflix, I would totally apply.

By the way, Netflix is doing a Witcher series. Netflix is so fun. #addicted

Hello Moonsong. It is very nice when one of the members from long ago stops by to say hello Smile. It is like a breeze from an ancient time, hehe (which can also be enlivening sometimes). Yes, we had two people enter Ravenfield since my above post.

I am quite happy with the way RF is now Smile      (*knocks on wood*)

Pixie, cool about the Witcher series. The Polish one is a bit outdated now Smile
