ok try again, I was saying that one of the reasons that Im taking a break here is that Im trying to complete my MSc in Transpersonal Psychology....and im having to write a critique on a paper on video gaming and lucid dreaming. Its quite interesting to find out where the scientific community are getting to with this. There is a definitie correlation to frequent lucid dreaming and video gaming for example. Im going to post a couple of links starting with this one which is just a debate as to whether one should try to lucid dream. Will post any more I come across.

Turin,  The article was not posing the question "Should one Dream?" That seems to be where you are directing it. The article was addressing more the question of control as in "Should you control your dreams?"
I speed browsed the article. One of the concerns seems to be that "controlling" dreams might interfere with a natural healthy process of the subconscious to promote healing and solutions to subjects' problems that is really beneficial in waking life.  This question seems to be being raised by those who do not "dream lucidly". They also appear to have a vested interest in "solving" the "patients'" problems through traditional dream therapy.
There are much more pressing concerns regarding Dreaming that could be discussed that this article is not able to draw close to, especially in a forum such as this. DJ spent a lot of time warning DJ about the dangers of Dreaming and considering it as something like a vivid dream. Then as we saw with CC in TAOD we have the question of his "friends" the inorganics and the dangers they pose. Not to mention the overall aim of Dreaming as interpreted in various manner by individuals familiar with Dreaming.

I meant should one dream as in lucid dream, not just normal dreaming. I was researching for a critique Im doing on a research paper examining the relationship between Video gaming and lucid dreaming. The paper found a corresponding increase between those who game and lucid dreaming. As lucid dreaming is considered a marker or indicator for consciousness development, it put a more positive slant on gaming than the usual research comes up with. I came across this article while researching for it, and thought if nothing else it may be of interest to some here that the scientific community are discussing it and how they are, whatever their opinions. The above article doesnt represent my own opinions btw. Im not sure what I think about it.
