Help for when your dreaming is sucking....
#1
Hi all,
Just wanted to throw this out there to those who are having problems lucid dreaming or recalling their dreams.  When we put too much importance on Lucid Dreaming we are in effect denying expression from other parts of ourselves which reside in the unconscious.  Say we have been on the path for awhile, learning and growing, and advancing in our dreaming prowess, then all of a sudden, nothing, no dream recall, no lucids, and we are left wondering what the heck is happening.  My suggestion to you is to relax into this lull, and view it as a time to ask your dreaming what is going on, perhaps asking dreaming to reveal to you what is blocking you at the moment.  Also, some part of your unconscious might feel neglected, because you have put value only on lucid dreaming - talk to that part of yourself that might be blocking you, ask for insight, and be willing to accept any type of dream.  I know my own journey is taking me down memory lane right now, and I find myself dreaming of my mothers house, even though I have done a lot of work in this area, I guess there is still more insight to be had, more "rooms" to be cleaned, after all, it is spring and time for spring cleaning.  One more little tidbit I'd like to share is the process of dream expansion - if say a person you dream of is very puzzling for you to figure out, simply imagine that dream scene and have a active conversation with the character - you will be surprised at what they tell you.
I am having a lot of success with this approach, and I wanted to share it with you if you are open to it.  I understand that some views of Shamanism say to discard dream content, but I find working with my dreams opens the path even wider.

I agree dreamgirl, working with what comes up in dreaming and in life instead of discarding it opens the paths, yes! Good suggestions from you dreamgirl, thanks!

Definitely dreamgirl. some people will just give up, during a dry spell. My advice is to just carry on your dream preparations as if nothing wrong is happening. As don juan says: The sub conscious can't handle constant onslaughts and eventually caves in. And yes, Dry spells DO HAPPEN.

I've had about a 25 year dry spell     with occasional lucid dreaming moments.
This was after about a year of almost constant lucid dreaming.
But I keep practicing meditation, it doesn't bother me.  Sometimes I think so-called Ordinary Reality is vastly under-rated

Hello dreamers, I agree with what everyone is saying and wanted to share my opinion on this matter that seems to be every ones struggle but I have found that what worked for me when dreaming is to dust the link to your memory while dreaming because when I achieved this exercise my lucid dreaming went out of control by having about ten or more true dreaming dreams daily and looked forward to just normal dreams so I could go to sleep without being stressed out with challenging dreams.

I found and know for certain that we can remember our dreams that we had recently or in the past and the key is too reach the state of awareness that we had in that dream and what I mean by this and this happens to me all the time is that I will have a dream that was enlightening with knowledge and revelations and when I woke up I realized what it was but also known that I would forget it all in a matter of minutes but also known that I could and done countless times go back to that assembledge point and remember what transpired and then progress to further act.

I know for certain that everyone dreams everyday but people put blocks to their ability unconsciously to the link of dreaming because of the implications of taking responsibility of the foreign world of the unknown energy of this dreaming world and feel that fear is the factor for people not dreaming very well, for instance if you are afraid of ghosts or inorganic beings then dreaming is not for you because that is just about all you are going to perceive unless you can change your assembledge point of perception to change your dreaming scene but you have to have your memory resources to do so while dreaming and it is really simple to accomplish.

"Fear is the problem" my fellow warriors for not dreaming well.
