Gender segregation originated with Freemasonry during an age where everyone was uneducated. To make matters worse, only men were allowed to join the New Age Masonic temples. Then came the Spirit Weavers (a female equal to freemasonry). Then the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, until it was time for cookies. The girl faction took the East (cookies) while the boys took the west (popcorn). Eventually, the rest of the world followed suit.
This is why women always have the cleaner bathrooms; we did such a lovely job of training them that we forgot to train ourselves. Men rule the world, but the women keep it organized and habitable.
