Three Approaches to Awakening
#1
In broad terms there are basically three approaches towards awakening:

The Path of Action/Practice, where one does all kinds of things as a form of attention and energy manipulation away from the tonal.

The Path of Devotion, where one uses sentiments and emotions as a way of taking attention away from tonal.

The Path of Understanding, where ones uses discrimination between truth and false a way of taking the attention away from the tonal.

There is a so-called Fourth Way, or the Way of the Sly Man, aka Integral Yoga, etc, etc. In short, one uses everything available that serves the purpose at hand: to take attention away from the tonal.

Have you noticed what's the connecting notion behind all approaches? I wish this question was not necessary...

To take the attention away from the tonal? Did I get the right answer? And why? The tonal is in essence the intent of the warrior, the nagual is the object of the intent.

Putting the tonal in the right place: Protector, instead of prison guard.

Don't get me wrong friend, my pedantic tone is not aimed to you. giggles

For you, my hat is always off.
