Comparing Feelings and Sentimental Expressions

Comparing Feelings and Sentimental Expressions

Feelings - These are the inherent
emotional expressions of human beings. They are the Primal ways
that we emote and are never reactionary. I categorize them in four
ways:

First - The Survival Instinct. This is the
innate struggle to overcome threats to our existence. It is part of
the power of the South, the physical Earth.

Second - The Feeling of Oneness, sometimes
spoken of as Unconditional Love. Coming from the Water, it is a facet
of the power of the West.

Third - The Feeling of Freedom. Freedom is
an expression of the Wind element and is an aspect of the North.

Fourth - The Feeling of Becoming,
sometimes expressed as Awareness or Enlightenment. This is an
expression of Fire, which consumes, expands and becomes Greater. It
is a part of the power of the East.

These four Primal Feelings foster many reactionary
emotions; joy, fear, courage, love, and so on. But those are not
Primal Feelings; they are reactions. These four- Survival, Oneness,
Freedom, and Becoming are the ways one expresses the emotional body
when not bound by our consensual programming.

Sentimental Expressions

Sentimental expressions are usually the
expression of a mental process. We use our memory to draw up certain
events or persons that evoke a particular mood. Sentimental
expressions are not feelings! They are sometimes a way to react in a
chosen manner, but are usually subconscious reactions. Of course we all do this. When we sympathize with a
friend, we are requiring them to dredge up a contrived mood that we
can share with them. And when we retain an emotional state too long,
it can be self indulgence. Also there are instances that we have
previously suppressed, too. These become buttons that can be
activated by others or the environment. It's always important to
recall that we place ourselves in the position of the victim whenever
we react.

Good post, thank you. I had, the night before you posted this, dealt with an exploration of this that centered around 4 upward foundational emotions/resonances that the side chatter only colored, in a narrative scene, but was separated and a distraction if focussed on.
In dreaming, i started with a circular dance with four distinct downward steps that were the foundational resonances/emotions, and it built from there up to something the FI like voice called, after it was done and that voice fell silent, the "painter realm of creation". Which was slightly above the God/spirit feeling one. What those side emotions, when they were recognized but not activated to be overwhelming did, was design the balance of light and dark in the pure uncolored energy, and at the end it mixed to create a deep maroon color. My hands were covered in it when i was done, and shimmering with energy. I have still felt this for the past few days, so it was somewhat interesting. This related to your post in my estimation, as i defined the four downward beats that were foundational as pure emotions and the others as conceptual, which seems to be the point of you expert. thank you for posting.

That was a good post, DoktorGreen.  Consciousness of being reactive or reflectively lost to gain objectivity is the awesome way.  [Awareness aware (bit shiny)]

Senear, you must be very proud of your professional association with the Republican party.  (just some friendly teasing)

[CP]  I a being bad again (posting to outside of you or s.)  Sorry.  How can I expect obedience if I cannot lead by good example.  I'll reform.

About these feelings I have come to know, is a small seed that started to grow. Reactionary in measure, now here comes the treasure. Our feelings are what we say they are. Just another choice to make, another chain to break. So speak up now and say what you Will, when you used to get angry, now you can chill. Just because things used to make you feel a certain way, doesnt mean you need to make it that for every single day. Stuck on repeat like a robotic feat, why not flip the switch and make the leap! Decide for one second you can control your feelings, tell them what to do, and make it your own dealings.

then different professions spring from directions

and end up immobile

partnership means you can investigate the fire in the water with the winds help

you need the stone set in place

stability

hence the wavering effects

you know buddhists might be the hypochondriacs of awareness so much suffering and no way to turn it around really

small gestures yet no solution ultimately

so run to positions sprang forth from such beginnings
