I love to listen to music and I love to read and listen to song lyrics.
Other than the pure enjoyment of just listening, I also enjoy stalking my emotions via a song and the lyrics.
I hear the rhythm and listen, perhaps a feeling will arise turning into an emotion. Aha! Now I’m getting somewhere!
This is good for recapitulation. What, in the song, struck a nerve in my history? What was I longing for? What made me happy, sad? What old ‘memory’ came up that I’m still attached to?
I’ve found this is good for digging ‘old stuff’ up; lost memories or energy that has escaped formal recapitulation.
As we’re listening to old CD’s today just thought I’d mention this as it’s worked out right fine for me
Anyone else use this?
