"The sorcerers of olden times, who gave us the entire format of sorcery, believed that there is a sadness in the universe, as a force, a condition, like light, like intent, and that this perennial force acts especially on sorcerers because they no longer have any defensive shields. They cannot hide behind love, or hatred, or happiness, or misery. They can't hide behind anything." - The Active Side of Infinity, CC pg. 100-101
Took me some time to track down this quote from my CC books, as I was inspired to do so. The message being that things are the way they are and that warriors can be agitated by this force of sadness for many of us have lost our tonal inspired defensive shields.
I think this message is one worth remembering as we are aligned with this force and confuse it with so many Tonal issues of the day. As the World's conflicts and evil spread; where justice dies and suffering grows, to remember that many things are as they are, and this sadness is a universal force. May we all maintain our impeccability and control our folly.
A reminder to myself that the place of no pity keeps this force at bay.

Maybe God is depressed, and that`s why he gave us such a sad unforgiving place to live in...

"Ec 1:18
For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth SORROW."
It's just a side effect of paying attention.
Most people bury their awareness in music, constant chatter, thinking about work when home and being off work when at work, etc.
The only time anything breaks through their shells is when there is a death in the family or something similar. They just want to touch the surface of life and
go no further.
So they spend there lives desparately treading water. To avoid what lies beneath.

Blue Totem,
Ultimately, sadness is our perception of infinity; don't really know whether or not God is sad.

Castaneda's books are the gift that keeps on giving.
I had overlooked this thing about sadness and shields. I get it . I recall many times of attempting to bury myself in various activities in order to avoid
the core feelings of dissatisfaction , boredom or whatever. I still face some aspects of that now.
Kudos to one and all , especially this week, for exploring real stuff , and doing it with humor.
Nanu Nanu, eh?

One of my teacher's, Krishnamurti used to spend much of his day paralyzed in a crucifying agony of what he called "the Process".
Other great saints have similar kinds of experiences, one was Ramakrishna.
I am not sure exactly what "the process" was. But I theorize that out of compassion and empathy he was taking part of the universal suffering on
himself.
He journaled about it and the collected writings are published as "Krishnamurti's Journal.

The So-called process of Krishnamurti was a by-product of the inner workings of the Kundalini Shakti. Nothing more, nothing less. But he didn't do a single
pragmatic thing about it, so he suffered all kinds of things most of his life.
The case of Ramakrishna is very special. He suffered intensly because his inner nature pushed him deep in samadhi but he lacked the knowledge to safely
progress in that path. At times he suffered because of Maha-bhava (Great Devotion), because he wanted to "see" God. Years after reaching the heights
of Nirvikalpa Samadhi (with the aid of two different Gurus), he started to feel, at times, the sufferings of his fellow man.
This pushed him to be an open-public guru-figure... but he knew that only a handful would be able to follow his footsteps.

Hey what is with that avatar again?
Does this topic influence your mood or what?
Still not a warrior...
What can I say? I'am, at times, a morbid stalker. The Joker reflects this mood of mine. It will pass, someday. Hopefully soon.

Yeah... looks somewhat like a scared puppy... first time I heard that one. Most opinions say that looks like a psychopath... and say I have to be one to put an
avatar like that.
Ain't that cute?

Damn I am still missing about 20 posts or more to get "warrior".
Now that's important.
"Not Gonna Do
It...Wouldn't Be Prudent At This Juncture." hehe... I love this phrase
As for the title, I'am not even a member. That's rather sad.
