Look at it:
There is the apparently objective phenomenal object-of-concern and there is the apparently subjective causal and concerned Ego-subject. The ROOT of all Causal Concern is never seen by the Concernful Causal Ego. All fascination or anxiety are based on not seeing the BASIS of fascination or anxiety, which is the ASSUMPTION of a real causal object of concern and a real concerned causal subject to be concerned about it.

Beware of seeking the Truth by others;
Further and further he retreats from you; Alone I go now all by myself And I meet him everywhere I turn. He is no other than myself And yet I am not he. When thus understood, I am face to face with Tathata.

To understand zen, you have to grasp this;
Emptiness is in fact very full...

...and fullness very empty...

Zen is about dieing, killing all attachments with zazen (meditation)
To let go of body and Mind completely.

CH'ENG-T'IEN WAS
ASKED, "WHAT IS HOST (Nagual) WITHIN GUEST (Tonal) ?" HE REPLIED,"UNRECOGNIZED WHEN MET." THEN HE WAS ASKED,"WHAT IS GUEST WITHIN HOST?" CH'ENG-T'IEN REPLIED, "POVERTY AT HOME IS NOT YET POVERTY; POVERTY ON THE ROAD SADDENS PEOPLE TO DEATH."

"Teacher, you are a man of knowledge - why is there dust?"
"It is something that comes from outside." "In a pure and clean monastery, why is there dust?" "There's another little bit."

For me Zen means Intent & actions to experience the meaning of Chan = meditation Buddhism = doing zazen.
For Gonzo zen is referring to 'essential zen' right?

meaning.. rather lesson or experience

Nan-in, a Japanese master during the Meiji era (1868-1912), received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen.
Nan-in served tea. He poured his visitor's cup full, and then kept on pouring. The professor watched the overflow until he no longer could restrain himself. "It is overfull. No more will go in!" "Like this cup," Nan-in said, "you are full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?"

For Gonzo zen is referring to 'essential zen' right? Yes...that Zen which says there is no such thing as Zen, there is no such thing as awakening, that when you stretch out both feet to sleep, there is no false nor true...that Zen which says it's in fetching water and carrying firewood - and yet there's more than that.

Before we can get to the fullness of emptiness, we must consider what emptiness is empty of.
and if form is emptiness...why is it empty?
