This is an article from *yesterday*. This is THE NEWS. If working through these issues from a sorcery point of view is out of the question, this place is dead and not open to reality.
I don't understand what the alternative is supposed to be.
It sounds like shutting yourself off from the world, burning all your books, and sticking your fingers in your ears.
Sure, media content is emotionally loaded because their first priority isn't *educating you*, it's selling newspapers, or selling space for TV commercials. I don't like it either. But it's a little bit like someone told you your ears can only hear musical notes from 20hz - 20000hz and you were so disgusted you just stopped listening to music altogether. No, of course it's not the whole story. Nothing is ever the whole story. We don't just burn down our libraries though.
Who do you think is behind the media conspiracy? Please don't tell me you think it's the Jews

Now thats contradictory. In other words its a lie. How, tell me, can you say that when you dont know me on the outside and yet your percpetion of me says you do? Obviously you base your perception of me on a tapatalk forum. Its the only way you have, or can, know me.
You're not going to like this, but this is what happened. Do you see the post I started with in The Beautiful?
That whole thing was an evocation of Eros. A.k.a., the Greek version of Cupid.
And what is your new avatar?
How do you like being commanded? I mean, I hope it was good for you too.
If I could find a woman that could command like me I think I would be in heaven. I've been commanded lots tho. By my stays in inorganica. I am pretty resilient from all my training and battles. I dont think I can be commanded anymore.

If it's going to burn anyway, try to at least read the books first. It's ok if they're not all true.
For some reason that no one has ever been able to figure out before, beautiful music playing from a scratched up record is somehow still beautiful.

I don't know what an FC contract is, so I suspect you've confused me with someone else. But at the same time, I am for some reason reluctant to stop this where it's at, because whatever it is you need me to be, I am potentially more than happy to roleplay it for you.
Oh ***, I googled it.
Yeah, all I wanted was a little ownership and to be treated like a f*cktoy. But nooooo. That was too much to ask.
I kid. I was actually asking for a lot more than that.
Whenever I ask people to play, there's often a lot more involved than shoots and ladders. I just kinda feel like if I share the entirety of the ordeal that they'll opt out. I try to keep things familiar and ask for a little up front.
A FC contract was me actually asking for your soul. It was probably for the best that I was rejected. Smart man.

I'll keep that in mind. I haven't needed an FC for a while now, but if that need ever arises again, I'll hit you up. I can't think of anything else I need played--you've covered most roles well enough. I can't think of anything new that would be fun.
Maybe we could try a psychic role on you. It's so far outside your scope of expertise and interests. Do something with a little spiritual juju and let's see how that looks on you.
Right. Yes. Ok.
I haven't read that book but I've read Nietzsche and seen the movie. So I could get up to speed on that if need arises.

I don't understand what the alternative is supposed to be.
When I do indulge in news watching/ listening I go with BBC. The way you talk it sounds like you read the newspaper first thing in the morning, then peek out your kitchen window and slam the shudders closed as soon as you see someone walking by...you then call in sick for work because you heard the flu was going around and also hackers are stealing people's credit card numbers from the cafe across the street from there. After that you hunker down in front of ur TV all day with popcorn watching in suspense and horror either Fox or CNN (whichever one floats ur boat and helps you with your "fix").

Immediately after the US presidential elections I got pretty close to that. But no, not really.
For a while I was reading the online English language versions of Indian, Russian, Arabic, and Chinese newspapers, and for a while I had a special project where I was reading the English language Nepali newspapers. That was back when India was blocking trade to Nepal and India wasn't admitting it but "everyone in Nepal knew it was true". The Indian newspapers were pretty good, you can trust the English more. They're really not just writing it for propaganda, they actually do speak English over there. The Russian papers, not so much. Their English versions are clearly suspect.
But no one has time for that. Maybe some day I'll be a pro journalist and I can get more into this. But it was NOT wasted time.
These days I listen to NPR while I'm driving and that's about it. I'll hit up nytimes.com or reuters.com if something important is going on. I used to read huffpost, but it got annoying. If there's a Trump scandal going on I'll check it out over there, because they do the best Trump scandal pieces. Sometimes I even force myself to read breitbart.com, ESPECIALLY THE COMMENTS, just to see how their reality bubble is holding up.
I think you have a misunderstanding about journalism, it is absolutely not only useful for getting the facts, it is useful for discerning how people THINK and FEEL about the facts -- where they are willing to just ignore them, and where they simply CAN'T be ignored.
In fact it might not be a bad idea to spin up a for-profit sorcery newspaper here, it might really start killing it in "new media". I don't know if I can take on anymore side projects right now but WHO VOLUNTEERS TO RUN THE TWITTER??? Anyone?
Pro tip:
So the Emperor of China, way, way, way back in the day did not have a twitter. I don't even think they had the printing press, because that would have been ridiculous, Chinese characters are super hard and most people were illiterate anyway. So the Emperor sent agents out to find out what kind of music people were playing.
If the music was harmonious, that meant the people were doing well, and the Empire was doing well. If the music was distorted, or weak, or off balance, or maybe even angry and militant, or in any other way disharmonious, that meant the people were NOT doing well, and the Empire was NOT doing well, and it told them that maybe something needed to be done to fix it.

I'm still getting the same thing here. You're OBSESSSED with the news. Even to the point of getting it in foreign languages and attempting to translate with words that are not even translatable in most cases!
Get some help brother! Take a vacation...go hang out on a tropical island...

With all due respect, YOU seem obsessed with the news. If you're so worried about the news controlling your thoughts or whatever that it bothers you if *I* read an Indian newspaper, I've got a tinfoil hat I can sell you.
Anything else you want to tell me I *shouldn't* read, or any other knowledge you think I *shouldn't* have because it's inconvenient for you?
Please continue this in "dysfunctional relationships" if you absolutely have to.
There is something seriously wrong with you as a human being if you can listen to Beethoven's Ode to Joy and all you hear is tinfoil hat media obsessed paranoia.

Maybe you're tone deaf.
If you're tone deaf I'm sorry, but here's one with subtitles.

This one of the most beautiful things ever created, and I don't just mean the video.
Skip ahead to the English only parts if you absolutely have to, but there is no number of terrible for-profit media corporations that can ever hide this from the world.

Also, just as an aside, if you understood how hard it was to get here, on this thread, AFTER all the rapey nazi stuff we had to get through to make it here, you'd be in tears right now.

That doesn't work for me because of this vow I took at some point about how I won't relax on tropical beaches until all sentient beings are relaxing on tropical beaches before me.
Good for you though.

Eh, all the news is fake anyway. Haven't you seen the hashtags? You yourself posted a picture of two newspapers being circulated to different places showcasing a different angle. Is there one truth or might there be many truths? Who's in charge of these publications?!
Free speech right? So people can lie and deliver fake news and there would be no repercussion because they're protected by the first amendment. Who said the news had to be honest? That was never in the fine print. People can be hopeful that the news they receive is from reputable and legit sources. Yet, there could be a monkey behind a keyboard talking about all the ways to properly use a banana and nothing, absolutely nothing, could stop it from happening.
More power to the people who let monkeys behind media keyboards. Woot woot!
If you need more detail about the first amendment, I suggest you speak with JJ. He's a firm believer that the first amendment was something given to the people to ensure the protection of free speech, at all levels. Power to the people! And the monkeys!

You too
Imagine having these sorts of adventures. How thrilling and exciting life must be for them. The mysteries of life are endless. Magical even. My heart is happy finally. Home is where the heart is and this Thanksgiving season I have so much to be thankful for. Life is beautiful.

As a side note, I hope those with heavy hearts this holiday season find a way to lighten up. Find a way to see things from a fun perspective. Life is meant to be enjoyed and to be glorious. Push the right buttons, in the right order, and all the doors and gateways open themselves. I think the universe just did an upgrade and all their doors became keyless entries. They're getting all fancy.
With the upgrades, the key to the city becomes obsolete, a figure of speech.
