Yeah. Life can feel heavy sometimes. I hear you.

The silver lining is I can probably stop apologizing for not being able to say it right.

"Speak to us of Love."
And he raised his head and looked upon the people, and there fell a stillness upon them. And with a great voice he said: When love beckons to you follow him, Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him, Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you. And when he speaks to you believe in him, Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden. For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning. Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun, So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth. Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself. He threshes you to make you naked. He sifts you to free you from your husks. He grinds you to whiteness. He kneads you until you are pliant; And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God's sacred feast. All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life's heart. But if in your fear you would seek only love's peace and love's pleasure, Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threshing-floor, Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears. Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself. Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; For love is sufficient unto love. When you love you should not say, "God is in my heart," but rather, I am in the heart of God." And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course. Love has no other desire but to fulfil itself. But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires: To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To know the pain of too much tenderness. To be wounded by your own understanding of love; And to bleed willingly and joyfully. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving; To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy; To return home at eventide with gratitude; And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips. - Khalil Gibran

Sure, I dont get then. I don't mind that I'm clueless
But, on the off chance I know more than I make known, know that those in the position of power carry a responsibility to protect those with lesser degrees.
01-06-2018, 12:00 AM
I used to think that. I thought that recently.
We phrased it differently, it was more like, "a precondition of initiation to the next higher grade is the willingness to instruct those of lower grade". It sounds like that because it's pseudo-Masonic, you can tell. But I'm sorry, in this case I'm VERY sorry, actually... Life has no meaning except for what we assign to it.

Don't be sorry. I'm certainly not sorry. I believe we each reap what we sow. May the future bring you a plentiful harvest.

It was definitely my fault.

Lol. What would you have me tell you?

It's just I'm sorry I'm really really sorry but I don't think you understand this project and I'm not sure you know what a rainbow is and I'm not even sure anymore if you know what blue is

You seem really passionate about this. Could we be more literal and less figurative so I might better grasp the issue at hand?

Pixie Dust wrote:Lol. What would you have me tell you?I can tell you right now that someone whose mind is "a masterpiece in a simplified and watered down version of reality" is likely to be insecure about, and yet fascinated by, the real thing.

What's there to be insecure over? Privacy has always been an illusion.

But I'm also currently elsewhere punching way above weight class trying to seduce a Venezuelan political science professor into telling me her REAL opinion about South American socialism, and like I just said, love is finite.

Sounds exciting! Good for you for dating up. The world needs more intelligent and well-informed men.

Pixie Dust wrote:Sounds exciting! Good for you for dating up. The world needs more intelligent and well-informed men.It's... it's not like that. It's not personal, ok? I shouldn't have even mentioned this... but I'm only seducing Venezuelan political science professors because I'm a spy. I'm a spy, and my day job is seducing socialist leaning political science professors.
01-06-2018, 12:00 AM
That's pretty cool actually. I bet it must be exciting to be a spy. You get neat gadgets and stuff. I would never make it as a spy, I'm so clumsy and don't really know how to talk to people. Any advice on how to seduce powerful men would be greatly appreciated, if you have any.

But it's not about gadgets anymore. We already have drones and lasers and cameras are already about as small as you can make them. Gadgets were already about as neat as they were ever going to get in the 90s. No, that's old news. We use boring, barely even classified anymore psychic technology from the Cold War. And yeah, I know that sounds exciting, but it's really not. It's very specific, highly technical, and most of the only works on socialist leaning political science professors.
01-06-2018, 12:00 AM
Ok, so I really shouldn't tell you this...
This one time it worked on an art student, and I don't think she was socialist leaning exactly but she definitely spoke Russian.
01-06-2018, 12:00 AM
Oh, and I don't work for the government anymore either. This is more freelance spying.
01-06-2018, 12:00 AM
Lol, that's all very cute. I can see I have a lot to learn. Thanks for sharing trade secrets with me. It's not everyday I meet a spy. It makes me feel sorta special, giddy even.

You know... I do some work for the Illuminati sometimes. Maybe sometime if you're interested I could introduce you?

That's a generous offer, but I don't want to get involved with them. They seem so dark and frightening. Maybe evil? I don't know. I just read the tabloids. Maybe I'm wrong?
