There's this weird interplay playing out, as I move forward in fits and starts on my path ("punctuated equilibrium", I Ching admonishes...."evolution only evolves like this, so get over it!"
. At a glance, it seems that there is this crossroads between choosing one of two paths. One path is direct.....clear....and ultimately abstract. And the other is like a an enticing trail in the woods leading to layers upon layers of wandering, adventurous, diverting, wonderful/horrifying, worlds-upon-worlds of intermeshing realities. DJ talked about in terms of the old sorcerer's predilection....those of "shifts" of the AP along the periphery of the luminous shell compared to "movements" of the AP to deep within the luminous sphere, leading to more abstract states of awareness....closer to the heart of things....closer to the source of it all, I guess.
At one point, my tendency was toward judgment.....the direct way was the "right" way....while the indirect way was "wrong". Now, I'm just not so sure. I'm thinking neither is right or wrong....but, upon choosing one, its probably wise for me to become aware of the other. If I choose the direct way, to not neglect the corporeal....or all those dreaming possibilities on the way inward. To appreciate the marvel of what appears in consciousness on the way home, so to speak. You know.....smell the roses, kind of thing
If I choose the indirect way, not to forget the abstract....so as not to get lost in excess "seriousness" and self importance. To not get lost in despair. To remain light and flexible while still staying involved.
