I love Pink Floyd.

Bon Jovi and the lone gun motif.....nice!How about some semi-cheesey 80’s synthesizer anthem rock?
08-12-2018, 12:00 AM
You can't go wrong with feeding me rock man...

Deep cuts from Deep Purple......love that driving rhythm
![]() Here’s one.... On the Loose.....on the run. Same thing but with a touch of freedom
08-12-2018, 12:00 AM
Remember the sound of Dash’s laughter upon finding out he can run on water? That’s the sound of freedom merging with the urgency to run toward freedom
08-13-2018, 12:00 AM
I haven't really seen that movie.
08-13-2018, 12:00 AM
It’s pretty funny. On the other hand.....it is an animated kids movie. Not everyone’s cup of tea
![]() Yesterday I inadvertently heard an electronic version Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car. So, nice synchronicity there.

I don't mind animated movies I just never got around to watching that one.
I like Ice Age. Mainly Scrat.
08-13-2018, 12:00 AM
Ice Age, yeah. The whole movie is a nice tribute to running to stay abreast the evolutionary wave. And its hilarious, which is just as important...to me, anyways. And then Scrat....that acorn.....the love of his life! LOL He sought after that thing with his whole being hahaha! The cubic centimeter of chance
I remember Carol Tiggs (the female nagual to CC's male nagaul) saying that fear makes us run blindly.......but love (abstract affection) makes us run intelligently. That being said, it's fun taking cheesy love songs and redirecting them to infinity....and beyond ![]() ......forgive me ![]() (recommend Rage Against the Machine to cut the sweetness....with a little ruthlessness )

Maybe not much in context but there ya go.
A little new interpretation.

That guy's incredible! Big sound from the toy drum kit, too ![]() And, just to make sure we're back on track......

The dude is definitely unique it's worth it checking out his other stuff as well.
08-15-2018, 12:00 AM
That's a great song
Reminds me of the movie Dead Man by Jim Jarmusch, for some reason. It would be right at home in that movie.

this one might seem cheesy to whoever watches/knows the stuff its from (I dont lol, no clue, so was not biased when I heard it first and it has good lyrics). Anyway, 1 disclaimer out of the way... 2nd coming up haha. Not running but climbing. But I kinda like the metaphor shift / expansion. Running running but always on same level gets one nowhere - gotta climb!
08-18-2018, 12:00 AM
Oh and speaking of Tracy Chapman and running - I love Fast Car but when it comes to running I always get the association with
Don't you know you better run, run, run, run run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run Oh I said you better run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run, run Just finally the tables are starting to turn Talkin' bout a revolution
08-18-2018, 12:00 AM
Nice one's, WG. Good to have another runner/climber with us! Speaking of running and climbing....here's one, also with disclaimer. There's the chorus....but then the verses are about hashing out some interpersonal stuff, it seems. But, I guess that running and climbing, in the abstract sense, involves dealing with others in our lives

Oops....wrong link
